Can be arranged. Too bad the Thursday night meets aren't still a thing, I have to be in Langley during the day tomorrow.

Car is starting to get a little tired looking from all the events and winter driving. Lots of gravel rash, a couple of good stone chips up front. Floor pan needs some touch ups...but I suppose I have a pretty critical eye for looking at it!

chased E36 ABS issues all around the engine bay, including pulling and cleaning them. Finally found a bad front sensor. Would be considered a success if I didn't crack one of the others that was good.

I tried wet sanding a few times in the past but the 3M kit seems to work better for me.
Looks great Mike! By the sounds of it though, it seems like this is an ongoing issue? If it does fade again, you might want to consider yanking them out, sanding them again, and clearing them yourself.
I did that last summer using this stuff. It is extremely expensive for just one rattle can and it has a very short shelf life once you pull the pin on the hardener, but it is so choice. If you have the means, I highly recommend picking one up.

So far, the job seems to be holding up even though the car lives outdoors (and is currently a mudball).

Spoiler!

My parking sensors are my scraped up hubcaps

If there's a Corolla at the pick-n-pull, I'm definitely pulling some rims or hubcaps off of it.

Drove the ITR for the first time since July. Test drive to check body shop work. Lots of small issues unfortunately but at least it drives good. I would suspect the shop will take another couple weeks to fix the work they did. Oh well, serves me right for crashing it.

Took the Rally Bug out to langley...discovered the carb linkage was vibrating loose as I drove (symptoms being the carbs becoming more and more unsync'd). Apparently left the small tool bag in the garage. Doh! Quick NAPA stop and it's running like a charm once again.

Fucking spark plug shot out my motor yesterday

F150 has this really stupid cap over plug system, heard what I thought was a belt, pulled over and the 2nd cylinders spark plug was sitting on the fucking head lol..

I'm hoping at worst it damaged the threads and can be repaired with an insert..had it towed to my mechanic because I ain't touching it if the threads are done

No, I did them, but I did use the ztherapy rebuild kit.

Just got home from the garage. Almost had a Westopher moment when I was installing the exhaust and it wasn't lining up at all!

Then I realized I had the pipe in backwards. All bolted up, just need to cinch it all down and bolt up the carbs. I don't like the tip much. I'll probably replace it with a simple 45 degree cut of some 2.5" stainless.

Video to come tomorrow.

Installed my new head unit. Did it earlier this week but haven't been on the computer for a while. We're on our electrical course in school so I asked the instructor if I'd be able to do it in class. He said yes, we got the old one out (MAJOR pain in the ass, thing was wedged in there damn good), hooked up this one, jumped a wire to a different pin in the connector and bam, Bluetooth in my 20-year old car. Way better looking than my old stereo.

Forgot to take a before shot but my old head unit looked like this. It was pretty decent but there was no AUX/USB/whatever since it was nearly 15 years old, just a good ol' CD player that I never used.

How my dash/centre console looks now, along with my awesome looking/feeling shift knob. I like it so far, but it needs a MK3.5 Cabrio steering wheel to tie it all together.

Peeled off the Plasti dip on my wheels
I used 4 cans of red and 3 cans of gloss so the coating was nice and thick and came off very easy. For the small bits between the tire and the lip of the rim, I used WD40 and the dip pretty much melted.

I didn't peel off the red dip on the barrel side of the wheel which was overspray. Didn't think it would be that noticeable.

Is that how it looks like straight out of the can? I drain my out every month or so and I only get a few mL and the fluid is black. Smells like oil and methanol.

More than I'm used to in other cars, and it is winter so more aqueous phase is expected, but it appears that this 034 can is pretty efficient. The larger the volume of the wet stuff and the paler the sludge means you are condensing more of the crankcase vapors. If you are condensing less (so only the highest density/least volative crud instead of range of high density/low volative to low density/high volatile crud), you are catching mainly the densest, worst of the crap and that will result in a much thicker, denser, blacker sludge and less aqueous volume. As expected, it is nasty and smells bad, but not the same pungency I've experienced on other cars and with can contents more like that you are describing. I will report back with any changes as we go into the warmer months.
