Picked up used 06-08 Civic Si wheels from across the border for my winter set, also got new Nitto Motivo tires for all-season/summer. Not sure whether I will powder coat the winter set black or keep them as-is.

What car is that in Lomac? | It's a 7g Accord Coupe. Photos of the height are in the Members Build forum.

Lowered my 4 door 96 Civic on ST 1.4 inch springs Saturday.
Adjusted the valves on the same car on Sunday.
Then said screw it all and went for a ride on my bike.

I thought I was just going to swap a cylinder head today (burned valve). The replacement was suuuper clean from what I remembered (still silver up top, not even oil stained) but I never bothered looking at the valve faces. When I went to clean the bottom of the head for the new gasket..... fuuuuuu .......massive amounts of carbon deposits. I mean enough to raise the compression ratio a fair bit. The head was rebuilt but came off a high mileage motor with worn rings, that was burning a lot of oil.
Anyways, a couple of hours later, all the valves were cleaned, both mating surfaces prepped, everything assembled and tuned, easy peasy, car runs good again.
Hmmm...no wonder it idled like a lawnmower
The top of the replacement head looked super clean, I didn't expect this
After a little cleaning
More cleaning and ready to go
The block came out clean enough

If so, what are your thoughts? I need another hoist, but I'm tired of buying these things, bolting them in, then moving 2 years later.
Let me know, mkay.
Also, I did this.
But I only got one side done because of this. Angry Pirate is good.
Then I did this. |

Some Greddy systems can sound pretty terrible on certain applications. Fujitsubo on the other hand...
Well, at least from all the Fujitsubo systems I've seen and heard irl I've liked very much.
