My cars have very small ring anchor points. Also I exploit the suspension humps where possible. I just go to MEC (or REI) and buy bunch of quicklok carabiners of difference sizes. Then use 1inch strap downs.Remember 1L is 1KG, so make sure you get carabiner that can stand the weight. I think even a mesh cover/ suspender cover would be another safety thing to get.

I found this

I use those cans to fill up with E85, yes they are slow. I think the only one crappy tire sells with the vent is the narrow jeep 4x4 style one.

Its not too bad its a good work out.lol
Speaking of e85 can we acquire that at blaine aswell?
In my research i can use it with the n54 motor mix combination (gas/e85)

Jackpot, where did you buy the 25 liters jerry cans? From what I know, I have only seen and used 20 liters before.

I dont plan to keep it in the trunk just when i do gas ran and mostly at night. A good 20-30 mins so hopefully no one rear ends me :crossing fingers:

The closest source for E85 is Arcade station in West Vancouver. They don't sell it in Blaine, I think the next closest would be Marysville WA.

I run a 20-25% E85 mix with 94 pump gas with a sprinkle of methanol on top.

Polished and waxed her up.

Pulled out the aluminum trim to be repainted... they were pitted and scratched to shits from the previous owner.

TO DO:
- Refinish & repaint rims
- Replace fog light bulbs
- re-plastidip the silver shadow line trim
- Polish exhaust tips
- wrap roof gloss black

Got the Del Sol seats installed today! Doing the seat rail swap took so long, but it was well worth it. Glad to see it matches the gray interior quite nicely! I am already sitting an inch or two lower compared to the stock seats

https://scontent-sea1-1.xx.fbcdn.net...55&oe=55F38CFA

I took off the 5 panel mirror and shift knob from my old Del Sol before selling it, and installed it in the VX yesterday

What's coming: clutch kit, coils, amber corners, aftermarket steering wheel, short ram intake, fog lights. Also picked up 2 new master keys today, feels like I'm driving a new car ($11 for both keys!)

Cobb Accessport V2 - Any reason you didn't get the V3?!! I knew you were going to a tune sooner or later

I am going the other route for tune... after warranty expires.

Because it came with the car :victory: IMO it was a perfect tuning situation for me because im a total noob with the euros really.lol Up until a month and a half ago i had no clue with this car. The simplicity and noob proof of the COBB works best for me. Just a plug and play to the obd reader and your good to go compare the jb4 were you have to mess around with the ecu.lol

As of now im pretty content with with the stage 1 its plenty fast for city driving. Depending on how the car goes IF there are no major problems along the way ( like the horror stories on the forums regarding the n54/turbos/vanos/waterpump/hpfp the lists goes on .lol)

I will switch over to stage 2 +intercooler
match with 1M wider fenders/bumper and the almost ready fender flares

BC Mazda3 Dyno day at Racing Greed

https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7739/...d9c953ee_c.jpg

https://farm8.staticflickr.com/7782/...490d86f1_c.jpg

Uncorrected 287hp/277ft-lbs
Corrected 338hp/325ft-lbs

Kinda disappointed with the results. It was a hot day and the turbo was struggling to hit my boost targets. The corrected results are pretty close to what Virtual Dyno gives me with the Mustang Dyno correction factor when I plot my 4th gear data logs.

The only difference is the colour - to prevent diesel being poured into a gas car or V/V. I used diesel in red jerry cans for years.

spotted you driving your "wife's" car yesterday in new west columbia st

tastic 05-31-2015 11:10 PM

Yes, still her car. I highly recommend finding a wife who wants you to mod the crap out of her roadster and encourages the hobby. In fact, I publicly and fully endorse it.

Did the upper guide rail for my 95 beater VR6. Had to fish out the missing chunk of the guide rail in the lower timing cover.

Agreed. My wife understands my need to modify cars, and has accepted the fact that we will never, EVER drive stock cars :D
