^^becauseracecar. passengers add weight so there's no need to accommodate them |
Fact: 9/10 LG's don't like racing seats or harnesses. |

Makes perfect sense to only get 1 on the practical side of things though, and since that's an AE86, aesthetics is probably not his top priority. |

1 Attachment(s) Bought an ugly little old trailer with boxed sides last month. Cleaned it up, stripped and painted. Fixed the mismatched fenders. Waiting on LED tail lights as the Datsun's electrical system is 45 years old. Should be a great engine haul rig and auto x trailer for the Datsun. Turned out pretty good besides the nasty plywood top. Should probably replace that. |

Got my stock header ceramic coated in satin silver. Excuse the ugly valve cover, it needs some TLC. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-V...0/IMAG0780.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-i...0/IMAG0782.jpg https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-L...0/IMAG0783.jpg |

I've given up trying to post things properly on my iPhone. ha. |
i know your car is light, but what is the load rating on that trailer? i know nothing, but dosen't a trailer have to be at least a two axle setup for what you want to haul? that youtube video floating around of a guy getting into a tankslapper because of his out of control uhaul with all his autox stuff strewn all over the interstate haunts me. |
It's a 1000b axle. I'm a little lost with the tank slapper comment, he was riding a bike? Most trailer issues come from improper weight distribution on a trailer. Edit: I think I figured out what your saying... The Datsun is pulling that wee little trailer (4' x 4', and I can pick it completely up off the ground myself. Those are just tiny 8" rims ha). It's no trailer queen ;) Custom hitch is being fabricated as we speak. |
oic. i've never really towed anything long distances before so i'm not that familiar with the physics involved. the video is on youtube somewhere. it was a red eg civic someplace in the states with a buddy following with his a dashcam or gopro. i don't know if he was driving too fast or something happened with the uhaul but it started to swing back and forth and then sudddenly the uhaul was pulling the civic. in the end there were spare wheels and parts, all the contents of a tool chest, jerry cans and a upside down honda all over the interstate :( |

Sounds like a weight and balance issue. But with a light tow vehicle and a decent load that's certainly possible. Motorcycles could tow what this thing will be pulling. Not concerned in the slightest. |
I replaced my 3 year old dash cam because of foggy lens. It been like that for about a year. I tried cleaning it many times but the cloudy part is on the inside lens which I can't get at unless I break the lens apart. So I replaced it with a very old BlackView cam (not BlackVue LOL) that I bought a long time ago and never used because the saved file size is too large. Then I went for a test drive 3 year old dash cam http://oi59.tinypic.com/2wfideq.jpg 5 year old BlackView dash cam which was rarely used. You can tell it is old because of the time stamp :lol http://oi62.tinypic.com/30tq3ko.jpg |
