^^becauseracecar. passengers add weight so there's no need to accommodate them

68style 06-30-2015 03:50 PM

Fact: 9/10 LG's don't like racing seats or harnesses.

I personally would either get 2 or leave it. But I'm very peculiar with things matching up evenly.

Makes perfect sense to only get 1 on the practical side of things though, and since that's an AE86, aesthetics is probably not his top priority.

Most people drive half normal when there's other people in the car. So unless one tracks with co-pilot, a bucket for the passenger is a waste.

Bought an ugly little old trailer with boxed sides last month. Cleaned it up, stripped and painted. Fixed the mismatched fenders. Waiting on LED tail lights as the Datsun's electrical system is 45 years old.

Should be a great engine haul rig and auto x trailer for the Datsun. Turned out pretty good besides the nasty plywood top. Should probably replace that.

Yeah. Was making sure it was level/straight before pressing down with the might of Thor and removing the protective covering

Ronac 06-30-2015 07:58 PM

Got my stock header ceramic coated in satin silver. Excuse the ugly valve cover, it needs some TLC.

Depends on the car, some cars seats are very heavy.

Did you buy it in Australia?

hud 91gt 07-01-2015 07:29 AM

I've given up trying to post things properly on my iPhone. ha.

thumper 07-01-2015 07:38 AM

i know your car is light, but what is the load rating on that trailer? i know nothing, but dosen't a trailer have to be at least a two axle setup for what you want to haul? that youtube video floating around of a guy getting into a tankslapper because of his out of control uhaul with all his autox stuff strewn all over the interstate haunts me.

hud 91gt 07-01-2015 07:54 AM

It's a 1000b axle. I'm a little lost with the tank slapper comment, he was riding a bike?

Most trailer issues come from improper weight distribution on a trailer.

Edit: I think I figured out what your saying... The Datsun is pulling that wee little trailer (4' x 4', and I can pick it completely up off the ground myself. Those are just tiny 8" rims ha). It's no trailer queen ;) Custom hitch is being fabricated as we speak.

thumper 07-01-2015 02:39 PM

oic. i've never really towed anything long distances before so i'm not that familiar with the physics involved. the video is on youtube somewhere. it was a red eg civic someplace in the states with a buddy following with his a dashcam or gopro. i don't know if he was driving too fast or something happened with the uhaul but it started to swing back and forth and then sudddenly the uhaul was pulling the civic. in the end there were spare wheels and parts, all the contents of a tool chest, jerry cans and a upside down honda all over the interstate :(

Can confirm, leGF doesn't ever drive so she always reclines and sleeps. I however don't mind sitting in a fixed position for 10 hours at a time.

hud 91gt 07-01-2015 05:15 PM

Sounds like a weight and balance issue. But with a light tow vehicle and a decent load that's certainly possible. Motorcycles could tow what this thing will be pulling. Not concerned in the slightest.

DJ Milk 07-01-2015 05:20 PM

I replaced my 3 year old dash cam because of foggy lens. It been like that for about a year. I tried cleaning it many times but the cloudy part is on the inside lens which I can't get at unless I break the lens apart. So I replaced it with a very old BlackView cam (not BlackVue LOL) that I bought a long time ago and never used because the saved file size is too large. Then I went for a test drive

5 year old BlackView dash cam which was rarely used. You can tell it is old because of the time stamp :lol

Because i'm cheap haha. Don't have a cage in the car so why in the fuck should I care about what the passenger sits in?

Out of Province inspection for the ITR complete at 1:00PM today!

@ 1:10PM i was ripping the airbags out lol Installed spoon steering wheel, RS airbag delete, clock delete, and Bride RO low down rails (which btw are no nearly low enough, maybe 3/4 lower than stock, feel like how OEM should be, I'm now looking for an old set of spoon rails to drop my seat lower)

Tmw I'll be installing radio delete panel and the hidden bluetooth audio along with finishing the steering wheel install, need to run a wire to get horn to work.

Pics tmw.
