Where and what brand ? That's dirt cheap !

Tires are literally the more important thing on your car. Are they at least DOT stamped? Although it could be fake, who knows.

Although I agree (and am also thinking about experimenting with off shore tires for hooning), from someone who handles all makes if tires... The difference is mental. All those no name brands feel like shit and are paper thin. Do they even have valid North American DOT? Lol.

Ya its DOT stamped lol. As long as my car stops, moves, and provides traction for most of the year, I'm ok with that. I don't track my car. I'm more concerned with longevity of the tires. I would like to get a few years out of these.

The_AK 03-06-2017 10:52 PM

Curious, what car are said tires going on?

Acura604 03-18-2017 02:21 PM

Wife's civic EX got upgraded from halogen to HID c/o AUTOLISMO $60 4300k h11 kit.

installation pretty straight forward... mounted ballasts on metal along sides.
waiting for darkness for better pix and possible beam aiming.

Someone decided to add some colour to my bumper. Anyway, gave her a quick wash. So many regrets getting a white car :QQ: lol

Suprarz666 03-18-2017 05:56 PM

SSM_DC5 03-18-2017 05:58 PM

If claybar doesn't get that out, then try polish

Gh0stRider 03-18-2017 10:12 PM

or mr clean magic eraser

You will be amazed what it can accomplish...

First oil change for the golf R (2600km) and I installed some wind deflectors/rain guards. Also installed a Braille g20 lithium ion battery in the evo.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I was going to pick up some stuff to try out today, but I had some magic erasers laying around. Just tried it and it worked :awwyeah:

snowfarmer 03-19-2017 03:55 PM

Bolted seat sliders into the new to me Miata. The drivers seat sidemounts were bolted onto steel bar then to the floor, no ability to adjust fore and aft. That wasn't going to go over well with Mrs. Snowfarmer. Gotta make sure all this car stuff works for her so she keeps saying yes when I come to her with more of my hare-brained ideas that we need more cars.

I guess this is applicable, first time doing a DIY video. Swapped out boring red stock tails for oem blackline tail lights. Planning on doing brakes + stud conversion too, feedback appreciated

I added sticky foamy strips to the ratrolla for additional comfort. Not sure why the hell toyota decided to use such garbage rock hard plastics but these foamy strips make a big difference.

Stud conversion came in, gotta get rear tires mounted (they're sitting in the garage) and wheels painted before i can mount these back on. Looking forward to seeing outcome.

Starter on my Taco was hanging up for a second after it was already running, so I figured the solenoid contacts needed replacing cause it wasn't pulling back right away. Went to get some tools and a jack and after I was all loaded up, the truck wouldn't start. The motor would spin but the Bendix wasn't engaging. Perfect timing, in the pouring rain, no less and I was just about to do it in the warmth of my garage.

Awesome. Bearing that holds the Bendix drive blew apart and separated from the starter motor. Good thing I had a starter ready to go. Since it's sunny today, I'll take the torque converter access cover off to retrieve the balls.

N55 Oil filter housing gaskets

Fixed the very common BMW oil filter housing gasket leak

Wasn't as bad as I thought if you take care in not dropping any nuts and bots from removing the intake manifold.

Used lots of rags and towels to keep it relatively clean

hud 91gt 03-26-2017 05:22 AM

Good for you. I attempted that one years back when I had my E36. It ended up getting towed to a shop. I've got a little more confidence now, I'd like to try again. Ha

320icar 03-26-2017 06:13 AM

Took my car back to RG yesterday for another dyno day. Stock was 187whp/225wtq. Yesterday did 265whp/330wtq. Super smooth graph which I was very impressed with. Each pull it lost a little power though. It's still on the OEM intercooler so it's no suprise. Proper FMIC/charge pipes and a custom dyno tune (not off the shelf) and 300whp is doable. Easy if I add meth/water injection.

Very happy with the results, no hiccups what so ever

bcrdukes 03-26-2017 07:04 AM

That's a pretty good gain from stock.

What did you do to the car to get those numbers? I think the gains become extremely marginal after the second or third pull due to heat soak, but otherwise, impressive numbers.

And stock intercoolers on any car almost always suck. :p

Not feeling the blue lug nuts with these wheels but they'll look great with my style 231 once I paint them
