Installed my sub today. 10" Pioneer shallow sub. Not bad, and it was only $150 lol. Driven by a little 300W single channel Blaupunkt amp, it's all I need for such a small cabin. http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...2/DSC01297.jpg http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...2/DSC01302.jpg http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...2/DSC01511.jpg |
15 minute O2 sensor change for a friend, turned into a 5hr ordeal. It snapped flush with the exhaust manifold on my buddy's RX7 (FC). Had to remove the air pump, hoses, and 2 port solenoids, just to get to the manifold bolts. Of course the heat sheild and downpipe bolts snapped. Then, since I didn't want to fuck up the threads by drilling it out, I had to break out the hot wrench and use an easyout. Of course that didn't work so I ended up heating what was left of the sensor and collapsed it inside the hole with a punch. Good times, good times. |
took car to the shop to get wheel bearing changed. there goes 300$ , dam i wish i was mechanically inclined |

What he was charged is very reasonable and you shouldn't be making the guy feel bad when you don't know what's entailed in the job or you can find people to basically work for nothing. |
^^ My neighbor who is a retired mechanic:) He's the only person I trust to work on my car besides myself, cuz...he's my neighbor lol. I guess its not that amazing of a deal, since I'm providing the clutch disc and pressure plate for him, so ya pretty much labor. But I save on paying taxes. |
Wired in my prosport gauges today. |
Finished my own retrofit after having to return a faulty pre-done one. Old cut off... driver's side would not go any higher (reached end of adjustment screw). Aftermarket housings. 5000K bulbs. http://i47.tinypic.com/280qq1l.jpg New cut off. Not as sharp, but that's from the headlight lens. OEM housings. 4300K bulbs. http://i49.tinypic.com/dr2rk7.jpg |
Started pulling the studs in the head of my ZC for the intake manifold so I can’t bolt up the adapter. One of the damn things won’t come out. Oh goodie. |
