JR's mini tho ... :Megusta:

I see that British pedigree in both cars

How was your experience with them? I work/live close by and regularly see the level of cars that go in and out of there. If I want a classic livery one day, they might be an option

bigzz786786 07-31-2018 04:07 PM

^my wrap job was pretty small, so it was straight forward, in the end i wanted them to remove the roof rails and spoiler to wrap them properly and they didnt have any issues getting it done in the original time frame. They do provide 1 year warranty on their work and theres 5 years warranty on the material itself. I still gotta wait till the wrap cures then i can wash the car to really take a look at the work. Wrap-workz was recommended by a few auto body shops i know. There's also vinyl labs who but I don't know their level of quality. The guys over at wrap-workz have a few of their cars full or partially wrapped parked out front and they don't mind anyone taking a really close inspection of their work.

The car finally popped a code ....it’s been doing the classic Honda transmission issue where it hesitates to get into gear and then lurches forward into gear violently. Covered under warranty - pressure switch failure.

The disappointing thing is the dealer had no clue over the course of 3 months....it’s such a common issue but they could only wait till the car popped the code. P0848.

Can't believe Honda still having tranny issues in a 2017 model.

68style 08-02-2018 10:56 PM

Even when the got getrag to make the fancy TLX tranny it had problems... lol

Did lower control arms and lower control arm bushings yesterday. Going to TSS for alignment at 2 today. Rides like a beaut.

Bumper fell off tho LOL but it actually gained us way more clearance.

Pro tip: Get a 4lb sledge hammer and 5mm or 6mm Allen key. Hold the top of the stud with the Allen key, and use a 21mm wrench to get the nut off. A low profile ratcheting wrench would have been helpful. Then use that sledgehammer and wack the shit out of that ball joint till it comes loose.

Pretty easy job, aside from having to make 1/6th of a turn with a wrench. That took so long. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...3f039d3834.jpg

Went to Portland and got this top case for the Vespa. Local guys wants over 700 clams for a new one. Picked this up from a dealer down in Portland for 300. Now the wife has a backrest and I can fit my giant shoei full face helmet.

P.s. all the instructions were in Italian... Thanks Vespa !

Rebled the brakes one more time after all the track days; pedal feel is now back to oem finally. Initial 1” of push is always shit on the focus. But after initial bite it’s great. About 5mm pad life left, more than enough for fall/winter/spring but definitely new pads and rotors all around before any track days next year

We also installed a new Depo Racing 3” catless downpipe. On my focus ST it was about an hour job; I had it down to a science. But the RS runs a different turbo and it’s not v-band clamp. It also has the PTU and driveshaft in the way.

It was nothing but a fucking hassle. Everything is hidden under the cowel. The shop manual suggests you drop the centre diff, now I can see why. We didn’t because you don’t have to. Remove the entire intake assembly, remove the battery and battery tray. The turbo flange is not visible. It’s the kind of job where you have to use 4 extensions and 2 universal joints.

After about 6hrs work, it was done! Aaaaaand leaks. Doesn’t sound too bad from the outside, sounds like I have a wastegate screamer pipe. But it’s not the sound I want, and I don’t want exhaust gasses leaking out and hurting any surrounding components.

Sounds like the old powerstroke 7.3’s under 3000rpm tho. Finally sounds like what it should have from the factory. (Aside from obvious leaking)

Possible we maybe pinched the gasket between the turbo flange and downpipe. But first well just check the torque of the bolts. It was crazy tight prior to service, so it might just need the full fat 250lb-ft the airgun will give us

My bike ? It's a 2006 Vespa gts250. I picked it up earlier this year for 2800 bucks tax in off Craigs. Only problem it didn't come with a rear topbox. I wanted a Vespa OEM one that matched the "dragon red" color and guys around Vancouver wanted 700+ dollars for it. Portland Vespa dealership had a new but opened one for 200usd which worked out to be around 300 bucks.

Get the new 300 GTS or gtv and you'll be loving it. I still think my 250 is a bit slow (coming from gixxers and yammies everything is slow) but it has adequate power to double up on. Plus I get almost 200kms on 5 litres of premium.

Acura604 08-13-2018 09:14 PM

holy christ... swapped out my rear incandescent amber signals with LEDs.

These LEDs have built in resistors and so there is NO hyperflashing in the 2G RDX.

BUT..they're too damn bright..not sure if i'll keep them in.

Viewing that on my computer screen hurts my eyes. I can't imagine how other drivers would feel.

I have them on my car, failed the vehicle inspection test here immediately...lol
now I modified it with some masking tape, so the yellow LED dots are hidden and less eye sore

you can order via Ebay but from China if you dont mind waiting 2-3 months for a possible lost shipment...

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/2x-Amber-No-...53.m1438.l2649

OR you can order from the USA via iJDM toy:

https://store.ijdmtoy.com/No-Hyper-F...s-p/20-095.htm

just make sure you order the correct bulb type.

which areas of the bulb did you mask off?

320icar 08-14-2018 08:27 PM

Exhaust leak fixed. Must have damaged the gasket during install and it blew out.
