I like it. my biggest gripes are that the screen is not bright enough (it actually dims to save power even when plugged in) and the beeps are loud (just pressing buttons) and there's no way to decrease the volume (disable button pressing and when it turns on would be nice).

Where'd you get it? I want one for my Jeep purely so I know whether to care of not when the idiot light dings. So far every time it's been totally fine.

I forgot to take good pics.. but I replaced the driver side window switch today. It broke a couple days ago and it sucked not having a driver side window to roll down. No drive-thrus for the week and had to drive like a granny to conserve gas because I don't think I want to open the door at the border to talk to the guards LOL. At least it broke while it was up.

By far the easiest fix on a BMW, ever. Took me less than 5 mins to do it. Pop off shifter (2 Allen keys - not a standard BMW thing), squeeze the sides of the shift boot, take off shift boot, remove 2 Phillips screws, disconnect 2 plugs, push the clip up and away from the trim piece for driver side window switch, remove and replace.

i put in crusie control, intermittent wipers, leather seats, from a 9th gen corolla S into my CE rolla. activated Fogs as well, but unfortunately bought the wrong year fog housing.

I cannot believe how much they stripped the car down from higher trim levels back then (maybe they still do now?) by simply removing components, all the wirings are there.

Gonna attempt power windows next, but it looks like the passenger side harness is different though

I did almost the same thing on our base model Matrix (1st gen/ 9th corolla) lol.
Snagged from an XRS the oe fog lamp combination switch, adjustable intermittent wipers, cruise control stalk and steering wheel bezel and neutral cancel switch, fog lamp relay. Like some $30 at the pick&pull. And got some Depo fog lamps for $50 ea, rather than OE for $300 ea. All the wiring is there.
I'm pretty sure the wiring for the 120VAC inverter is in there too, all it needs is the switch and the outlet plug. Just take it from a Pontiac Vibe lol i think they were all equipped with the inverter and the fog lamps.

Did an oil change and put some air in the tires.

I love the simpler vehicles where you can just plop in the upgrade parts. In my stupid Jeep even the stuff that plugs in you have to get the dealer to enable in software :rukidding:

I finished restoring a 1971 Honda Kick n Go scooter. Color matched to the car and now it lives in the trunk.

What's the handle thing on the back for? Did you print new decals too? Looks good, man.

trollface 08-19-2019 11:40 AM

Yes, new decals. It's a chain driven RWD scooter.

Turbo. Sweet!

Post rallycross inspection. So far the damage report is

- rear diffuser all tabs broken, held on by the rear towhook
- front lower bumper ripped out, tabs broken
- one intercooler mounting tab broken
- clunking from the rear end. 99% sure sway bar mounts or endlinks but everything is torqued ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- front tires got chewed up real good! Felt super soft on the drive home, had to rotate for sure

Got an updated photos for my front protection. Already have my skidplate and this will extend like a splitter. Almost completed! Should get here hopefully by end of September, he still has to make the mounts to extend upwards to the crash bar.

everybody uses black dip for emblems - so bland.... this was a better match for a
TL Type S - 'anthracite gray metallic' dip. matches the tails and sidemarkers almost perfectly.

Why are you ranting about the battery tray? Looks like a removable unit? Take it out, clean it up and repaint?

Finally got around to replacing the cracked aftermarket y pipe in the g with a nice minty fresh oem unit that I've been rolling with in the trunk for about a year. Figured while I'm in there I'd install some resonated test pipes since as far as my research showed, the cats were a major contributor to the oil consumption issue plaguing these vq's.
God what an awful sound those test pipes made.
Next day swapped the cats back in. Got that nice oem drone now.

Anybody wants a set of resonated test pipes for a vq35 hit me up. Only used about 50km
