It means 100 cells per square inch. It is the highest flowing cat you can buy; anything less would be considered catless.

wait this lowda guy is a real car enthusiast that does real car things with his real ferrari? LOL I thought this was a troll account, iirc shitting on badhobz for his maz

Anyway, if 100 cell is still a cat, and anything less would be considered catless, would 100 cell then be a "legal" mod? ie. Can you pass VIs with it?

You'll still get a CEL light from the o2 sensors unless you have a tuner disable them. If the exhaust is visually inspected, then there is certainly a catalytic converter. If they take a sample of whats coming out of the tail-pipe, then definitely you won't pass. The 100 cell cat is nice though as it is able to clean enough that it doesn't smell like gas fumes.

I'm no troll. I'm surprised you still remember that as it was awhile ago. The guy is always flexing about his cars and money. I just called him out that he ain't a real baller, because the really rich chinese have chauffeurs.

Thanks for the reply, I was looking into a 200cell or 400cell for my E46. I didn't want to go without cats, as it smells like crap - also gives me a headache. Wouldn't those cats have a lambda o2 sensor? Fitment is usually crap tho.

Playing with my Honda. I replaced the valve spring retainers with new OE parts and went with chromoly Ferrea keepers. I did away with the titanium long ago, trust issues. So I went back to stock stuff. It’s just so old now I felt the need to replace them.

Ferrea valves, toda springs, 1 Toda and 1 BC cam.

Finally got my car back from the body shop, the seibon carbon hatch actually fit really well. The body shop was surprised for an aftermarket part

Buuuuuut..... right before I dropped it off I was doing some more suspension tuning and slammed into a hidden rock (in a puddle that went over the hood lol) but yeah. I took off the bumper and straightened the mounts but the bodyshop strapped it down and straightened the rad support. Car would be a write off without my underbody protection

What's the weight savings like with the carbon hatch?

IIRC the carbon hatch with glass is like 35lbs less than just the bare oem she’ll. Don’t quote me on that. Though it doesn’t help my already nose heavy weight distribution

I picked up a Malone tune for my Jeep, the install was dead simple and the reduction in turbo lag is huge. It's kind of funny having two boosted vehicles with no real lag.

I didn't get to drive it back-to-back (though I'm tempted to flash it back to stock just to try that) but to me yeah it feels much more responsive. There's still the usual lag from an automatic trans but at least now it isn't compounded by the turbo lag. Driving my usual commute I haven't been able to feel any lag in the spots it used to be very noticeable. The temps just dropped so fuel economy comparisons will be a little off but I'm curious to see if it helps as much as people say.

Curious how the ppf will hold up. Looks like they did a lot of stretching, similar to vinyl wrapping. Xpel would have had many relief cuts and mostly laid flat rather than stretching. I forgot the reasoning that the installer told me

no complaint on performance, but may need some time to get used to charging. Reliability is unknown at this moment, but I already heard a lot of horrible stories.

The continuation on... "what did I get for my car today".... Schmiedmann Headers and 400 cell cats!

The first obstacle was fitting it into the car; the next is installing. That said, before anything happens, I have to make sure that there are no damages or anything that warrants a return in the next 7 days. Can someone with experience on what welds should look like, take a look at this link? TIA!

That is what they should look like. If your really concerned, take a peak at the inside. Since it’s stainless it should have been backpurged (it will look really really awful and crystals if it wasn’t).

Thank you for taking a look! I looked at the inside and I found some deep scratching / scoring(?). Of the pictures the main ones that concern me are:

It would be a pain in the ass to ship it back to Denmark, but regardless I wanted to be thorough.
