^^ just curious what made you choose to mod the c platform to that level? Manual swap? I guess it can be a sporty car but not really a sports car?

I guess I have no choice, this w209 was originally my wife’s vehicle. After having a kid I took over as daily. I am familiar with MB platform, since it’s a 2004 whenever there is part replacement I tend to modify it. I just like to work with what I have. Good question maybe my next purchase should be on something more sporty platform or more accessible to mods.

check engine oil light turns on, pull hood latch to refill oil, hood won't open,
take to mechanic, says cable/latch failed, needs to break in either through headlight or some other method, also, oil leak is do to the engine needing resealing.
sigh 10-20k plus job
tells me to trade it in for electric vehicle.
ps. anyone here knows anything about resealing an Audi A8 engine?

Case in point, this skinny guy comes into the gym the other day, must have only weighed ~ 140lbs, loads on 2 plates on the bench rack, mutters to himself, for sparta, unracks the barbell and proceeds to drop it directly on his chest.

^ It's not worth really anything on trade... Fix the hood release and just keep topping off the oil and run it into the ground then junk it.

Try some Lucas Engine Oil Stop Leak. Might help with the leak alittle bit or solve it all together. $13 better than spending 10k-20k. People are totally against using theses snake oil products but sometimes they work pretty well and honestly u got very little to lose.

I've always* used FRAM filters on cars for like 25+ years now never had an issue... yah I see the youtube videos / read the horror stories but... never blown up an engine yet or seen one go swampy.
*(I actually used Toyota Japan filters on my MR2 for a few years when I stocked up on these extra capacity ones from Japan specifically, but mostly FRAM on everything I've ever owned just based on convenience)

I decided to try a wheelie on my motorcycle today. Was in first gear, and a quick twist of the throttle had the front end come up quicker/higher than I expected. Got scared and cut throttle, only to have the front end drop and the bike engine brake quickly, sending my testicles into the tank HARD. Had to pull over to catch breath. Balls still tender hours later. Good thing I already have kids!

Everyone always shits on fram. They’re readily available and get swapped out 3-4 times a year cuz of track days. It’s fine, this ain’t a blueprinted 50k race motor

Finally insured my car again after it was in storage for 8 months.
I was so excited to take it out for a spin, I almost completely left my place until I realized I forgot to put my plate back on. |

Their Canadian prices + shipping is extremely close (and sometimes cheaper) than usdm + duty + conversion.
I’ve been so satisfied that I run their window sticker

I further fine tuned my 98 civic cold start. It's as good of a street tune as possible. I want to get it on the dyno before going to a street legal.
Put a new battery in the gsxr, installed a oem type rear fender and pitched the tail tidy in the bin, motul oil change. Was running a bit rough and stalled, checked the fuel and it was cloudy and smelled. Kinda ass backwards but I siphoned last years gas and added new fuel, I hope thats all it was.

Track prep continues. Rear diff oil changed, rear camber adjusted. Fixed the hood prop and release. Rear sway bar endlinks installed. I also did powerflex rear diff bushings. The 2 rearward ones were buttoned up within 8 minutes. The foreword one took about 3 hours. Not gonna get in to it but one of those mods where you start to doubt your love of cars
Still to do
- tires should arrive tomorrow. Install on the WedsSports
- final tune revision (need to go to Mexico for datalogging....)
- front sway bar and endlinks install
- brake fluid flush
- order spare brake pads?
- finish aligning the front for more camber
- anything else that comes up

there is a great little patch of road here near patullo behind my work that leads to mexico on hwy 17, i always do my logs there, 2nd, 3rd, and a bit of 4th with ease, just wait for the traffic to clear and on to hwy 17 i probably did well over 300 logs there

Hwy 91 in Mexico after the 6 road entrance all the way to the S curve is pretty much a free zone I’ve never seen police on that stretch of Mexican highway
