The STi looks familiar, used to see it on Craigslist all the time. If I remember correctly, it was trying to be priced similar to cleaner hatchbacks. And it was on Craigslist for a LONG time.
Got my new brakes in! R1 concepts 8 piston front and 6 piston rear with 2-piece floating rotors all around. I feel like this is how it should've been from the beginning, especially for an R-S model.
Fk, not letting upload pictures on my phone for some reason. Will post pics later lol

Ran it in autoX. Had problems with excessive wheelspin under boost (thanks JB1), and being unfamiliar with the car so I didn't want to push it and risk blowing something up. At least I found 6 seconds to improve over the day.

Which car were you?
I was running the IS300... sadly on all seasons Couldn't fix my K-swap Civic in time...
After 4 years of driving in silence i decided it was time to open her up a bit. 3.5 inch all the way, no cats or resonator. I figured it might be obnoxiously loud and it was so i picked up a resonator at the same time. It quieted everything down by a factor of 10.
Saved 40Lbs and probably picked up a few ponies at higher rpm.
Is it just the dashcam or is seeing the cones a lot easier IRL?
I've never gone autocross before, but I probably would have gotten lost like 5 times watching your run.

You are given a course map and have quite a bit of time to walk the course beforehand. There are also lots of helpful people that can ride along and point you in the right direction if you need it.
Did my VCG over the weekend. Pretty straight forward job. Rounded out the back valve cover screw tho. Couldn't fit anything in the back, not even a 1/4 10mm with a knuckle extension.
The VCG was surprisingly fine, but I had a lot of oil in the spark plug sleeves. No issue with the gaskets tho, so I gotta investigate that further. The bolt gaskets were hard as rocks tho, so at least that job wasn't a total waste.
VCG was leaking, but not sure from what. It unfortunately didn't solve my limp mode issue, but reduced my vaccum leak. Now pulling the engine oil cover cap off actually makes the car run like there's a vaccum leak.
Limp mode issue feels like a misfire, it's like chugging between 1.5k to 3K. Above 3K it's fine, but it's as slow as a D series Honda. It feels like you're going up North Road in 4th gear, but you're actually in 2nd. Further diagnostics required.

Not exactly the same as wrenching or troubleshooting, but spent Sunday at Circuit Mont Tremblant with Porsche Motorsports and Rennsport Region PCA club. Great event and great track. If any of you ever go to Montreal or Mont Trebmblant, I highly recommend getting a "arrive and drive" package with the track. You track guys will absolutely love this track.
99% of cars at the track were modern PDK cars and they obliterated a small handful of people with a manual gearbox (cup cars excluded.) It was pretty discouraging haha
I had Vinyl Labs in Langley do PPF on the front half of my car. This is the first time i've done PPF on a car and to my untrained eye, they did a great job.
Further diagnosis showed that coil #2 was pretty bad. Unplugged it and it did nothing. #4, #5, #6 is pretty strong. #3 is suspicious and #1 is okay.
I fortunately still have the 330 around.. still gotta send that back to ICBC. But swapped the coil pack out from that and into the M3. Fun fact, M54 and S52 coil pack is the same. And voila, it worked.
Thank god it's not rod knock, rod bearings or bent valve.
