In the 3G RDX forums, people have been adding this super ugly ass 'caliper covers'.. these things look ridiculous and inflate the size of the calipers to hide the weak sauce brakes. i mean... just look at this RDX with those covers... gross.. https://i.imgur.com/yFE5mU3.jpg so i went 90s old school - i didnt' want to draw attention to the shitty brakes and went black... ... https://i.imgur.com/gnfYKgv.jpg https://i.imgur.com/d2WIHBh.jpg https://i.imgur.com/OrWqJn0.jpg https://i.imgur.com/bMPYdr5.jpg https://i.imgur.com/t4tSBN6.jpg https://i.imgur.com/KCD28iI.jpg and yes!!!! the swap was done today!!!! bye bye winter!!! the groundhog has spoken!!!! we just gonna get rain and maybe the odd dusting of 1cm of snow... no problem!!!! good night to my winter wheels/tires...time to rest. in storage you go. https://i.imgur.com/Hsns6UB.jpg https://i.imgur.com/hyTpsGM.jpg ...dont' listen to this idiot...he's dead anyways. WINTER is gone ! ! ! https://static.hitek.fr/img/actualit...ng-illustr.jpg |
FailFish  |
The whole point of winter tires is so that you have better traction in rain and <7 *C weather conditions. Last time I checked it's still chilly at night. Lol good luck. |
Really? It literally takes less than 5 minutes to pull the calipers, pads and hardware off, before painting. |

Express job…touch up to follow in next wheel rotation. They’re black. U can’t see any imperfections. Nil. None. Zip. Zilch. |
I spent 6hrs on my back in a dimly lit underground parking lot swapping out a rusted starter on an Element. |

It's literally 2 bolts, but they're the length of a Subway foot-long sandwich and buried so deep you have to fist it (if you can get your hand and around the cross member. The car also had no splash guard so everything looked like the Titanic. Went the underneath way so I didn't have to mess with the manifold and gaskets, but I'm not sure that was a good call anymore. I had four T-3's today. |
I see you have a thing for working on extremely difficult and painful vehicles. Remember your comment on the BMW or whatever it was? (I even sig'd it for a while!) You must be some kind of masochist. :suspicious: :inoutugh: Fisting, eh? :suspicious: |
changed the rear rotors and wheel bearings on my rover I was being a smart ass and used a hydraulic press to press in the bearing race... of course it went in crooked and took 2 hours to get out the opposite side rotor and bearings only took me on hour :lol |

Guaranteed to replace them every.fucking.year. I'm not speaking from experience or anything. |
These turned out too pretty to not show off. Some double slip connectors I turned up on the lathe and welded. They are going on the very unconventional header I’m building. The header itself ain’t this pretty haha.. patience is a tough thing. https://i.ibb.co/vckwcRp/EE1-F7782-0...-BA1-DA7-A.jpg https://i.ibb.co/k3HN5dK/5-CBC05-E4-...5-AA9-C360.jpg |
finally got around to it... my license plate light was cuttting in and out on the last week of my insurance last year..... and I was like.. I will fix it on my off season during winter storage... and here we are... last day before march hahaha... Weather still suxx too much for riding though, hoping to insure by April now? https://scontent.fyvr4-1.fna.fbcdn.n...aw&oe=622A7273 https://scontent.fyvr4-1.fna.fbcdn.n...og&oe=622B0BA5 |
Fixed hopefully the last of the water leak in the trunk of the Mazda3. |
Made my new downpipe today. Just need to make some adjustments to the exhaust and can move onto oil lines and intercooler pipes. Then manifold project is complete. https://i.ibb.co/Nr73m9V/244-E56-E8-...EFE0160-E4.jpg https://i.ibb.co/4jwYkdp/00-FDD76-B-...74-D39-DDA.jpg https://i.ibb.co/X884gDj/1931-ECFE-5...804-CF4-D9.jpg |
I mean this in the most positive way, but that’s the weirdest header I’ve ever seen. Your turbo looks like a twin scroll. Do they have to be ELH for that to work? Or is this close enough. |
Haha it’s it’s weird alright. That was my plan all along. Haha. I would have made a couple changes if I were to do it again, but it was a fun experiment. It is twin scroll. There is two trains of thought (equal length vs short as possible) and honestly I’ve never seen real research for either. Considering I’m not aiming for ridiculous power by any means, rather just quick spool in a street setup, shorter made more sense in my head at least. We’ll see. |
lol...same thing in mind that's the weirdest design I have seen. can you explain what is that coil looking thing with the downpipe? |
It’s just a flex pipe. In reality the manifold is just halfway between a standard log manifold, and a “header.” True twin scroll in design. The most unique part of it is the use of square tubing for the center ports. The center cylinder ports are actually larger then the others, and a square design just made more sense. Despite what it looks like, cylinders 1,2,5,6 have a elbow leading into the center section. Should flow quite welll. I’m excited to try it. More worried about the double slip connectors. Ha. |
Had to replace the front splitter on my Camaro after I was being a dumb dumb and clipped it when I was in the parkade on Pender and Seymour. My buddies tell me that, yeah, I shouldn't have tried to go up with my Camaro. The splitter was on there real good. 12 bolts, 6 rivets and 3 strips of tape. With some drilling, heat gunning and patience, it came off alright. Having a buddy helping out definitely eased the process. So yeah, hopefully I am more careful next time and not try to take my chances going up parkades designed for Smart Fortwo.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...89a98ad007.jpg |
Can you turbo my Datsun |
I don’t have enough time to finish my own. Lol |
