Upgraded to the 2020 cup holder. The 2018 has no prongs so driving with a timmies in the morning is super sketchy especially with the suede interior.

I've been driving with one hand holding it on turns this week.

Makes me think of the cup holders in the focus. There are 2 thin strong rubber ‘barbs’ that grip the cup. Work fantastic, but if you have a styrofoam cup (like in America) the barbs tear the cup in half when you try to remove the cup

Man, such a stark difference from your posts during bmw ownership

2020 Bic baws - just replacing every single plastic coolant part in my bmw because they're broken
2022 bic baws - just replacing my plastic cup holder with another one cause it has rubber tabs

Wild how 2 year old cars require less maintenance than 20 year old cars.

At Mission, my guess is the brakes will give up before overheating becomes an issue.

At VIMC, my guess is the front tires will give up before overheating becomes an issue.

At A27... well... good luck LOL~

Made the oil drain for my turbo (from scratch, I bought a milling machine lol first project, and used the lathe for the tube). Wish I could have welded it nicely haha. Should have spent a little more time finishing it nicely but Spring Thaw is on, and I’ve got lots to check off the list in the next 6 weeks!

Edit!

I couldn’t leave it like that, my wife wasn’t hungry yet for dinner so I went back down. Embarrassed to show a photo never mind on the car! Lol amazing what 20-30 minutes can do.

Made another Penis.

No wonder my wife calls it a penis car (along with E Types, M Coupes etc).

I’m never changing turbos again, had to remake everything… lol. I had to move the idle valve inlet, then cracked the old spacer, then made this new one out of aluminum.

Did a bunch of work on the Type R last weekend but I'm too lazy to do a write-up. Anyway I finally got the Volk Racing ZE40s mounted. I did the test fit last weekend. It's looking spicy but I can't go another car without putting it on - it's already been 3 cars this is the 4th.

I bought it for the E46 330ci as track wheels to replace the heavy 3pc OZ Superleggera III. We know how that turned out. Then I was gonna put it on the E46 M3. And we all know how that one turned out too. Then I was gonna put it on the E36 M3, but it turns out you'd have to do extensive work to fit it and I didn't care enough about that junker. So on the Type R it goes - probably will have to do extensive work as well.

18x8.5+30 on 235/40/18
18x9.5+40 on 255/35/18

Yep. You read that correctly. Reverse stagger.

Should have done it post install. The act of ‘popping’ the heads will probably flake half the paint off, and the tire lube will stain whatever’s left. That’s what happened to me one time
