High temp paint. Not powder coated.

Goodhobz

Finally installed the front lip with help from raiding the office supplies. Super excited at how much it changes the look (for the better) of the front end. Also swapped out the bbs for the turbo fuchs.

Pics no workie

bcrdukes 08-12-2022 06:40 AM

Weird. The picture stopped working for me. I saw it yesterday when the post was relatively fresh.

SkunkWorks 08-12-2022 08:21 AM

Thanks RS. Should work now.

Did you leave the binder clips on? They rust after a while, can't remember if it's the black portion or the silver. You can remove the silver portion by pinching them.

EvoFire 08-12-2022 11:59 AM

How secure are a dozen binder clips though? I'd be concerned with it wiggling off at highway speed wind and vibration.

68style 08-12-2022 12:12 PM

I think he only used those to place it so it could be attached properly

SkunkWorks 08-12-2022 12:53 PM

Geezus I'm not that much of a hack. They were used for mockup placement so I could mark where to drill the holes for the proper brackets to be mounted :lol

I've seen some pretty janky things lol

underscore 08-12-2022 07:46 PM

I have actually seen a thread on another forum from someone who used those clips as the only attachment for their lip.

bcrdukes 08-12-2022 09:21 PM

They need the added weight to meet the race classification. ;)

trollface 08-13-2022 07:38 AM

Lol you guys thought he left those on there?

i am not proud to say that when the exhaust hanger on my 240 snapped for the 3rd time or smth, i used my old U-lock bike lock, looped around the pipe just before the cat, drilled 2 holes in my trunk and locked the lock.

all my friends loves to point it out to others during the meets, i know there are photos still floating around in alot of sony ericsson w810i and nokia n72 out there....

I'm totally out of tune with modern pop culture.

No pics but installed my Tarett Engineering GT3 rear sway bar. Boxster is well planted front and back and steering clean and crisp. Looking forward to a nice weather and a good crowd this weekend at CTMP!
