Installed a front splitter and side skirts off ebay Did not think it would take me 4hrs, but thats how it goes https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...d23f6b2f_b.jpg |
Did you have to drill into the bodywork ? I was gonna put a modellista kit on my ratrolla but got scared after they told me it’ll require drilling |
Yeah, the side rockers are fiberglass, fenders felt like reinforced plastic. I was not too happy about it either, but there's no other option. Front splitter used existing support screws, but needed an extra 6 drilled because there was a bit of a gap at the front. Corvette forums state it's quite common to do so, just feels weird drilling into your "new" car...... Some guys state they use tape only, and seems to hold on. |
Yikes. You’re braver than me. I didn’t wanna drill into the bodywork and then pay for it later when I go up on a slight incline and smashing the front lip. But man ole man does it look good with more aero bits. |
Spent yesterday blindly drilling into my carbon fibre flap so I could run it higher like the DTM cars. Maximum downforce to the coffee shop. Sometimes you just gotta go for it.https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...4f17f661_h.jpg |
You fought me 2 years ago when i said to get the gurney flap. Now y’all reppin bbs and tinted tails all full chad. |
Lol no I didn't. I said I can't afford to mod the car. I still can't but fuck it I'm not retiring whether I buy RS or not. |

Regardless, both of those feel way more hesitant than a few dozen 1/4 holes on the underside..... If you are rolling, and haven't done it before, pay a pro, I learned that lesson on my 92 civic si, good thing it was a 750$ car |
just researching at the moment, but it seems like a part of the chassis needs to be shaved down/cut to fit bigger A/T tires. apparently not a big deal if youre about that off roading life. i will 100% pay a pro if i decide to do it |
Boxster moving to Vancouver Spoilered due to amount of photos. Spoiler! |
Can you not get it wet? Lol might not be the best Vancouver car if so. |
No, it will melt and depreciate to zero. Edit: I'm kidding. It's a fair weather car so I prefer not to get it wet if I don't need to. Still have the Mini in Vancouver. Engine hasn't blown yet surprisingly. |
i really like the color matching top. I went to dumb ass lexus to ask how much it'll be to replace the black cloth top with a red one (its a new release for 2024 models where you can bespoke a red cloth top) and they told me... get ready... 43,000!!!!! im like WTF. hes like yeah... im like WTF. hes like YEAHHHH. IM like SHUT THE FUCK UP. hes like nooooooo. so i think ill just dye the vert top later on. i saw some products online that does it and it sure as fuck aint 43,000 bucks. |
lol WTf that's the cost of a new car man hahaha |
Are you fucking serious LOL I guess that's why the convertible is $20,000 more than the coupe MSRP! Did you accidentally ask him for the blowjobber price? It better include one for that :hotbaby: |
nah i talked to the crazy guy at the openroad lexus parts. he saw the price and had to do a double take as well. I wanted these new 2024 OEM 21 inch rims too because they look pretty interesting (kinda like the TRD wheels i wanted) but he told me they are 5k a pop. 20k on WHEELS?!?!?! what the fuckkkkk https://i.postimg.cc/KjMFRMjy/1.jpg |
At those prices you might as well just trade in your Ratrolla lol |
i think you need to sell your car and get the 2024 version but 4 is a bad number because chinese oooooh |
But making the entire car red will cancel out the bad luck? |
lol spoken like a true asian |

Some owners HATE keeping stock wheels around when they get custom ones. Never understand that, especially when they definitely own an actual house if they're driving a LC. |
Finally got round to installing the exhaust on the 911. Gf was getting tired of all the boxes sitting in the corner of the living room. Old https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...463515da_b.jpg Lots of heat with a map torch and various penetrants given the 37 year old exhaust studs are highly susceptible to snapping off. Was 11 for 12 studs non-breakage... https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...f275e205_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...97b9be96_b.jpg But this snapped. That's ok, an inch of stud remaining. Threw the extractor on, then it snapped clean flush. Fack :alone: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...13384c70_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...6b2c9d2d_b.jpg No worries. Managed to borrow the very expensive exhaust stud drilling jig from a local aircooled guy that (mostly) prevents you from drilling into the head itself which is $$$ and not recommended https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...efdb3509_b.jpg But after 3 days of lying on my back, many different size and profile drill bits, and using various upside down drill press renditions, barely a dent made in the stud. None of the bits grabbed the stud and cut further. All spun on the initial dimple like a bearing and did absolutely nothing. As a last ditch effort before towing the car to a pro, picked up these masonry bits https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...42e11c8d_b.jpg Took multiple renditions of removing jig, cut a bit with masonry bit, installing jig back, using normal 3/16 pilot drill bit, upsizing to bigger 17/64 bit till it stops cutting further, remove jig, cut deeper freehand with masonry bit etc it was done. New studs all in. The brown is a very liberal use of anti-seize. Struggled for over an hour with holding these gaskets in place when I did the job on my old 911 6 years ago. A bit of crafting wire and it took all of 10 seconds to throw these on this time round. #wisdom https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...956aef7c_b.jpg And the job that should've taken a weekend that ended up taking 2 weeks is now done. Few more things to button up and then we get to hear how it sounds finally https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...c8fbd86d_b.jpg |
Nothing. Aggravates. Me. More. Than a classic Porsche exhaust replacement photo journey that doesn't include a damn SOUND CLIP after!!!! Come on! ;) |
Somewhat related to exhaust... I've got a set of performance headers for the Boxster. It removes the factory cats. Do it or no? :D |
