I think that's just the name of the color, 24k gold. Not that it's literally plated gold. |
Was wiping my interior down with some interior cleaner and material started coming off :okay: Thought it was grime initially but it's likely some vinyl protectant layer that's failing. Anyone know how to fix this short of replacing the whole part? https://i.ibb.co/TKhjNmc/IMG-4446.jpg |
Wtf ! I hope that’s not on the brand new WRX. If so that would be utterly horrifying. |
Oh man... that ain't a Subaru door... but it is another almost brand new car door!!! I won't say what because maybe radeonboy wants to announce it at some point haha |

I brought this issue to the dealer yesterday and they think it's just grime, but grime doesn't clean up like this. I'm waiting for some parts to arrive from the dealer so I'll bring it up again to see if they can repair it under warranty. Quote:

Doesn’t look like a Toyota product cuz the side mirror switches are a bit too special. What is this a Volvo ? Can’t be… a bit tooo much plastic. What is this ?!?!? |

Ooo I think I figured out what this car is. Does it start at $47,900 MSRP new? |

I'm still amazed by this brands image turnaround over the past 20 years or so. |
Man, I got a great deal on some Pilot AS4's. I was in need of some new tires and found someone selling on facebook a $1500 giftcard to a local tire shop. I was quite skeptical so I lowballed him and offered $900. He accepted and we met at the shop to confirm the validity of the card. Everything worked out and I got $600 off some new tires! |
So i had a mini heart attack this morning. In the 12+ years of owning this camry, ive never heard of a bong, or seen a amber light come on. Today was the day. https://i.postimg.cc/DZ0kJp6g/1.jpg Spoiler! |
Does it have a damaged tank or leak. On my old BMW it was the fucking reservoir that leaked it or the pump so it just poured right back out:yuno: |
yup! so did my in law's 128i. They had to replace that pump and it was a bitch to get at. Also cost around 500 bucks to do at the dealership My camry just needed some washer fluid. I havent filled it up in 2 years. |
What kinda mpg do you get out of that Camry? I guess you have to fill premium eh :okay: |
Hell nahs. I’ve been using 87 for a few years now and it’s just fine. I also use 87 in tiny spy balloons RX as that’s all it says in the manual. 2gR fe engine is Toyotas classic workhorse. Been around for a gazillion years with no significant reliability issues. Lotus uses that engine in their emira and that exiege. Gets around 12L / 100km in the city and about 8L/100km on highways. |
also does ~34L/100km when supercharged and on track. |
Sounds like a demon too. God I love yota v6’s They should have thrown one in on the GR86 |

I do like having the Toyota engine (2zz-ge in my case). I snapped a bolt that I couldn't find in any of the local stores (m6 hex with a 10mm top, zinc, and flat bottom) so I went to the Toyota dealer and they ordered in the part and it arrived 2 work days later. |
im wondering if this 2gr family of v6's will reach the 2jz level of enthusiasm in the future. Now that Toyota is killing off the v6's, this might very well be a future "tuner" engine. |
There's not much tuning with the 2GR besides doing what Russ did and slapping on a SC. And it's in like a million billion cars... 2JZ was in almost nothing so it has that mystique. 2GR is Toyota's answer to the 350 Chevrolet motor haha... There's a neat subculture starting up with Toyota's hybrid engines. The 2.4 from the Camry hybrid with all the hybrid shit torn off it is the new MR2-Spyder darling engine and that new turbo 4 in the Land Cruiser/Lexus GX/Tacoma makes a tonne of power out a of a little unit too. |
Not many ppl are even making Evora numbers. Most ppl swap it in and just call it a day letting it make around 300hp. It's a good swap candidate but not something you make big power with. You want a new 2JZ replacement I think the B58 is going to be the engine. |
