Nothing as glamorous as red kryptonite, but I prepped the Boxster at my in-law's place to take back to my parents place to pack it all up for transport back to Toronto this week. Car started right up, no issues. Tires lost a bit of tire pressure, so I topped it off at the Chevron on Willingdon and Canada Way.

The Mini has been sitting around forever since some lady hit the car a number of months ago. It was quite a bear to jump start, but finally managed to get it going. Runs and feels great, even at 329,566KM.

Badhobz 05-26-2024 04:37 AM

What ?! You’re moving the boxster back to TO ? Didn’t you pay like big bucks to move it from TO to Vancouver ?!

bcrdukes 05-26-2024 05:26 AM

I hate when that happens. You splurge to get the good one to avoid those kinds of things and then it isn't actually any better.

I daily my e36 to work in van. It's the same setup that 5 years ago got me a box 1, seized plates and a tow on a flatbed.
And then of course passed the fucking inspection.
Cain is busy killing unarmed people and having inappropriate sexual relationships with subordinates so no time to hand out VIs.

Don't forget that girl suicided after he did that to her too... dude's literally been partially responsible for the death of more than 1 person and still not in jail.

A big thank you to lowside67 for all the Boxster goodies and A+ service from TFX International as always. :)

I tried to paint my car white today to appease the colourblind.

Alas, it was not meant to be, it became blue again.

Badhobz 05-29-2024 07:15 PM

It’s a wrap !!! Don’t be fooled gais. It’s white underneath.

dark0821 05-30-2024 09:45 AM

LMAO~ multi-layer wrap at that, if you peel the top layer, its still blue underneath, meaning you haven't gone thru enough layers till you hit primer, i mean WHITE!

RabidRat 05-30-2024 10:10 AM

I think you're onto something.

Everybody's always spending thousands to wrap their car to a different color.

It's maybe $40 in paint thinner to just strip all the paint off and get to flat white ("coke white") priner!!

Hell for another $100 you could sand it all down to bare metal and you get yourself a genuine Cybertruck finish.

JDMDreams 05-30-2024 10:28 AM

^^ then you gotta polish it to get full chrome

right?!?! im in the market for a gt4 front lip but theres like a hundred brands ranging from $300-$1200. every brand claims perfect fitment when i know for damn sure early 2000s parts fitment is "crap" regardless if its real or rep.

 hopefully i can find a rep from a company with a updated better fitting mold

jing 05-31-2024 06:22 AM

My GT4 lip fits very well. Not sure on brand, though the PO said it came from Germany. Haven't seen in one for sale like it as it has a matte finish with a tight weave. Let me see if I can find out.

Badhobz 05-31-2024 07:00 AM

I helped my elderly new neighbour with his Sebring convertible. Its just been sitting in his garage for overall a year.

Hes a really nice old german guy but doesnt have the strength anymore to do this kind of grunt work. P.s. Fuck you Chrysler and your horseshit engineering.

I had to jack up the car, take off his front wheel (which were absolutely seized, and i had to use a 4ft rod attached to my 3/8 wrench to break the damn nuts) and then take off the cover in his wheel well to access the battery. Which dumbass engineered this!? ANd the battery is one of those weirdo side terminal batteries that are expensive as hell. AC Delco

Oh and of course the valve cover gasket is oozing out oil. Car is barely driven, has only 70,000kms on it

bcrdukes 05-31-2024 07:08 AM

Michael Scott!

EvoFire 05-31-2024 07:40 AM

Is that a squirrel cage fan on the intake manifold? That's a really odd looking manifold.
