That looks like a PCV system to me.

What a fuckin stupid place for a battery, I thought German cars were a pain putting it in the trunk but this takes the cake.

It's very on-brand for Chrysler to put it in the worst possible place by every metric. Accessibility, handling, safety, etc.

America! :derp:

I forget yall grew up with 2000s Chryslers: time bomb transmissions, TIPMs, sludgy engines, and awful everything

The cuspers are coming into age with ZF8/Hemi Chargers, 4 door wranglers that don’t suck to daily, RAM that ride quieter and better than E class, etc

I changed out my turbos in my 335i, stock BMW for RB Twos

Can't watch vids at work, does it increase performance a bunch or let you do some tuning for more power????

Combo of both? It makes going to 500hp (and beyond) safer. You can go 500 on stock N54 turbos but cant expect life expectancy on them to be that much longer. RB (Rob Beck) has a pretty strong reputation in the turbo game and trust him with these.

Will admit the first 48 hours on the base tune were absolutely goofy (have an e-tuner who is reading my logs and adjusting the tune as needed). I've been grinning from ear to ear until my clutch started to give, so thats already been collected and will be installed in the coming weeks.

Thank god it didn't actually puncture. Too short to penetrate.

Took the R53 Mini to DC Motorworks for its annual oil change. Engine hit exactly 333,000KM on original chassis and motor.

I've tried tire shine but then it smells like tire shine. I've heard that ceramic coat works well.

hmmm the smell doesnt concern me that much but i am worried about dust clinging onto the greasy tire shine making up keep a pain in the ass.

fuzebox 06-06-2024 08:46 AM

Decided to finally install the fabspeed intake for my car. Apparently it does nothing but sounds good, we'll see when I go for a drive today. The oem airbox with a better filter already flows good enough for my GT3 throttle body. Carbon fiber though???

While I was in there decided to cut the second hole (standard for 997.2 and x51 powered cars), since I already have the vents above it on my ducktail wing.

Nothing as cool as fuzebox, but did some basic (and overdue) maintenance on the Mini before I head back to Toronto on Saturday. [Edit] The Mini officially hit 330,000KM the other day. Original engine and chassis! :)

[Spoilered for lengthy post]
Spoiler!

Until next time! :)
