The GTI looks so much better with the rear spoiler. Should have come from the factory like this!

It's definitely built like one

Badhobz 07-10-2024 09:32 AM

no, if it was chinese built it would be better quality. stupid gewilos

My aliexpress wing doesnt squeak, the OEM one underneath squeaks like a bitch

68style 07-10-2024 09:50 AM

You needed gwailo tape to hold it on, if you were using the china tape it wouldn't be squeaking at all cuz it fell off 10m after you started driving lolol

Did you just double side tape on? From my experience dirt, uneven surfaces doesn't really work well, unless you stick on smooth painted areas, but then that's still a maybe with gravity working against you

underscore 07-10-2024 11:01 PM

the front and rear are zip tied on, the sides I made clamps that attach to the pinch welds.

Not today, but on the weekend gave my car a 15 year birthday present:

You don’t see too many of those around anymore. What a refreshing design.

Also can’t believe that’s 15 years old already. I remember when that design came out replacing the old protégé

radeonboy 07-11-2024 07:25 PM

That is incredibly clean, especially considering most of those have returned to the earth or are on their way there.

Back in the day I was floored to see an economy car come with leather seats. Time really flies...

Great68 07-11-2024 07:29 PM

Yeah it's been a pretty good car to me. Still scratches that itch, even though these days it only gets driven once or twice a week on nice days. It's my "take kid to soccer practice saturday car" (until the Mustang's done). Although my kid has his mother's tachophobia. Little bit of throttle and I get a "Daddy Too Fast!"

What amazes me the most is 15 years, 115,000kms, and I'm still on the factory clutch & rear brakes lol.

So glad I talked myself out of the Cobalt SS I wanted back in the day, I would have regretted that junk to this day.

FKT, alot of good times there back in the day haha
its so satisfying seeing a freshly detailed black car... then all that hard work is undone after a few drives

Had one for a couple years and it was a great little car except for the leather seats which were cheap as fuck and super slippery. IMO, back in it's day it was far ahead of the competition then as the Civic is now ahead of their competition.
