No the bulb |

The ones u got overdrive the filament, but the blue coating removes light so it ends up the same. There are ones that also orderdrive the filament but don’t blue filter out the main beam See the Osram nightbreaker, Philips Nightguide Platinum, or Sylvania Xtravision. Some LED have factory-ish beam pattern. I think ConeZone liked the Philips stuff for reflectors. |

Weird why do yours look like they have the blue coating over the entire bulb? The part over the main filament should be clear |

Philips LED x-tremeultinon i had pretty good experience, but you're looking at around $150 a pair unless you find a set on Amazon Warehouse (which i was lucky in the past) They just started burning out though; one this past May and remaining one has been intermittently flickering for last couple months, so about 4 years on the original design according to my purchase history (Nov 2020) lol. Mar/Apr 2022 on the other pair on the Matrix still running ok. FYI if you get the 9005 or 9006 kit no difference except for price. they are the same bulb and come preinstalled with the o-ring, but actually packaged with the other size o-ring for you to swap out. So i bought 9005 kit but it came with o-rings to fit 9006. |
And these LEDs work in a reflector housing? I'm still shocked that LED works in reflector housings now.. and don't blind people. |
Yah the Philips ones are good with the reflector ones The LED array is positioned pretty accurately where the tungsten filament would be expected to be I think Sylvania might make a good product too but I havent looked into it I’ve seen Philips 9006, H11, and H4 (dual beam) and they give a proper output |
I ran the Philips 9006 in my Accord reflectors, was the only thing that made the low beams do anything. One set of 9012 in RAV4 projector failed because the fan failed - the new version I bought from Amazon is fanless |
Finally got the winters onto both my car and my in-laws car. I have the week off so didn't have to rush it so did a deep clean of the wheels: https://i.imgur.com/FPrp2IH.jpeg https://i.imgur.com/puHNtgq.jpeg CarPro Retyre really cleans deep - took 4-5 passes on each side for the foam to stop turning brown. This is the last wheel that isn't curbed but it looks like the ceramic coating is starting to wear out - water wasn't beading off like it used to. |
oh my, thats one clean looking wheel. |
What happened to that ACura 604 guy with the 10 sets of wheels |
