Buddy hooked me up with some 2006+ Tail lights and 2006+ HID ballast. Can't wait to put them on!

What special about 2006+ stuffs, Benz ?

Benz_05TSX 10-26-2012 06:05 PM

^ The 2006+ tail lights, the inner circle where the reverse bulb is, its smoked/tinted vs. the 2005 which is clear. All the circle has a different reflective pattern as well. 2006 HID ballast is smaller and will fit perfectly on my 2008 JDM headlights. The 2005 HID ballast is bigger and does not fit directly on the newer headlights. Thus exposing the hole on the bottom which can cause condensation. I don't want to fill that hole either because I don't like to temper with OEM parts.

Swapped out summer wheels for snows on a couple of cars, then cleaned them for storage.

You'd think turbo wheels would be easy to clean but goddamn, they're a pain in the ass. Only set that was more time consuming were BBS RM's.

Acura604 10-28-2012 09:04 PM

Argh...cleaned off about 2 weeks of brake dust from the brembos.

Pic of wheel that should be ebony chrome: (caked on grime/brake dust)

change brake fluids.. $100

fuel injection clean.. $200

Z3guy 10-29-2012 12:57 PM

it's weird cuz I had a 335xi for almost 2 year before this, only had 1 full service done and it was totally free.

on the AMG.. have 2 full service done in 1 year and 3 months with 22k km... I understand the AMG engine is expensive to maintain but it's such a unreasonable rip off !!! lol

Z3guy 10-29-2012 01:07 PM

^ I guess when you buy an AMG/RS/M car, they know you are willing to spend more on maintenance Vs C250/A4/323i consumers......Let's say MB charges $150/hr labour....they spent over 4hrs inspecting your car??? sounds like a 1hr or 2hr job tops!

I'm really regretting not getting a dash-cam though, with all the videos these days showing Richmond mechanics just changing the oil and picking their nose then take your car for a joy ride lol

Z3guy 10-29-2012 01:21 PM

^ that would be really interesting to see what they actually did......probably sweet fuck all and ran a diagnostic program.......

bensta 10-29-2012 04:52 PM

bought some fittings today to complete my oil line, so hopefully ill build it tonight

You have no idea what the purpose of this thread is, do you?

skylinergtr 10-29-2012 10:48 PM

-changed the fog lights in my Explorer since 1 was cracked.
-changed the spark plugs for my Mercedes, again! I put the wrong ones in last time.
-Most likely getting a hold on sport seats for the BMW :fullofwin:

gn02156668 10-30-2012 02:08 PM

Swapped my black speedometer into white faced one.

Wrapped a TRD emblem in carbon fiber , so as the door sill and arm rest cover.
