what are you cleaning it with?

PetrolHead 01-13-2013 11:02 AM

On the outside; mostly just a dremel tool that has various attachments. On the inside I'm going to have to get some 2000 grit paper and take it slow (rust spot on the steel lining).

Same here. It started so slow too cause it's been sitting out in the cold. Decided to take it for a rip to the Ikea meet. Got her nicely charged up, heated up and fluids circulated.

Thursday looks like a good day for a wash. Then chuck it into the garage to fully dry ouy.

got my package from rockauto and put new spark plug wires...nice...

fliptuner 01-13-2013 02:00 PM

Jesse, just wondering how their shipping to Canada is. Did you get it shipped to your door? What carrier and how bad was brokerage? Value of item?

Thanks

Qmx323 01-13-2013 05:53 PM

rockauto ships to canada rather economically... i've never been hit with brokerage from them and ive ordered from 10 dollars to 400 dollars worth of parts.

also... broke down and decided to buy a OBDII to USB cable... after hours of fiddling with it in Windows 7, found out it works on XP the best.

But I am happy that I read my codes and luckily none of them were current codes, all stored codes. Cleared them and the CEL is off (for now) i hope.

Also being able to see your MPG as you drive (i know most new cars have this) is a pretty sweet feature

JesseBlue 01-13-2013 08:06 PM

the shipping was about 25 or so which should include everything...overall still cheaper than places from within canada...ie my wires were 77 bux shipped while autopartsway woukdve been 100 shipped and that would depend too if they have 'shipping specials'...

you just have to check and make sure what you get comes from the same location (it'll tell you at the check out) or you'll be billed separate shipping, that's if your planning to purchase more than one item

GabAlmighty 01-13-2013 09:40 PM

Plastidipped my front bush bar in near 0c degree weather, still came out nice. Win.

I believe so, although I prefer to ship to Point Roberts. I do live in Richmond though so its a much closer drive.

entrax 01-13-2013 11:25 PM

Finally put in the WeatherTech Digital Fit all weather mats today. Awesome fit and I can confidently say these are one of if not the best all weather mats I've ever purchased!

Same here.

Hooked up to the laundry sink and washed the Civic and RX7.

kakucaekz 01-16-2013 04:17 PM

I should wash mine.. but it's full of holes right now, too lazy to mask up. :fuckthatshit:

But I did continue paint prep. Took of more of the side trim, and removed almost all of the badges. The MR2 one between the reverse lights is staying, I'll just have it masked when it goes for paint. And man, the trim and lights on the front bumper were a total biatch to take off, I've never been scratched so much by a fender liner and splash guard.

The trim above the rear side vent requires me to take apart some of the interior to get at one nut holding it in from the inside, gonna wait for my dad to do that, since I have a terrible history of snapping and breaking interior trim :lawl: Also gotta remove all that adhesive later, oh joy.

Edit: Got one of the side vents off just now, man it was a pain. I'll do the other one tomorrow or something.
