^^^ how far did you drive on that to have the bead come off ?

Inaii 03-07-2013 09:12 PM

Ummm, about 30ft? Happened just as I was leaving the house to go pick something up from my mom's work. Got 3 cars up and pulled over as soon as there was space.

I should mention car was fine last night. Drove to DQ on Kingsway/Rupert and back with zero problems. Drive ~30ft this afternoon and that happens...

on another note, were you parked at langara underground parking lot this week? :O

Limitless 03-08-2013 01:56 AM

Yessir I was, I park there when I have time to walk to class without being late haha. Bigger spots, less chance of door dings :)

tofu1413 03-09-2013 05:42 PM

woot. short shift adapter installed and a new blox 490 knob (again!)

skunk2's packaging for that little adapter is overkill though..

Peturbo 03-09-2013 11:08 PM

Got my turbo out and changed the gaskets + hardware to fix my exhaust leak.
Also put on new turbo elbow since everything was out.
Been working this during the week whenever I can find time after work.

I have a bunch of 1" square aluminium tubing if you're interested

Spent most of the day putting in a new soft top... previous owner ripped it out entirely. Didn't get it 100% to my liking as it's indented in a bit on the drivers side "B pillar" but close enough :fuckthatshit:

What a pain in the ass to do with the stupid roll bar in the way

Jtrinh, custom make some wood piece like limitless to drive out your garage. Your front lip is lower than the side

you should get a new o2 sensor, if the o2 sensor you are using now used the elbow as a ground, the stainless steel one you have now wont be a good ground

lowered the car today but i have a question.. even though i lowered the rears evenly, one side is still higher than the other (more wheel gap) is it safe to lower the other side more to even it out? or is it bad/unsafe for the perch to be uneven ?

sorry i had my hands full so i didnt get a lot of chances to take pictures. basically the hatch area of the ae86 is pretty horrible when it comes to structural integrity, the bar is design by UEO to brace it from strut tower to strut tower at the same time linking to the rear frame. an X would be better but somewhat defeats the point of it being a daily and or a hatch at all, i would rather just drive a coupe lol. one issue with making a bar that braces against the rear frame / rebar is impact in the case of an accident, luckily for me jdm bumpers dont use rebars.. sorta
