came to a stop in my car today and all the lights flickered and the electronics went haywire (engine sputtered, radio shut off, all the screens flickered ... )

Driving along, notice my voltage is cycling between 14V and 16V. Think "oh fuck voltage regulator is broken"

Get to stop light, engine shuts off. Restart engine, everything is reset but car runs perfectly.

My car healed itself today. Fuck all ya'll!

Put the coils down a bit farther

We will see if it settles bit more. Heres how it sits in the front.

checked battery, had some loose terminals (actually just sitting ontop of the temrinal, bolts were not tightened at all).

Tightened those up, hopefully that fixes something.

Ouch it looks like these are not full length adjustable ones. If you bottom out on city driving you might want to consider raise it back later.

Do you mean the adjustable shock bodies? The only brands that make those for my car are ksport and b+G both, not the greatest quality. Koni is well designed enough that they put the coils in the shocks intended range so they actually ride really well. Its just that I rub fender liner and hit subframe in bad spots. haha. Coils aren't gonna go back up til winter, but I may remove the lower locking collar to give it a bit more room to go down once I cut my fender liners.

I have had the Koni on my gti, with 1/3 thread to go it started bottoming out. With that being said, I got rid of them within 2 months and installed a set of Bilstein PSS10 which made the ride handled much better. Firmer, less bouncy.

If u want to go low, I suggest getting the H&R ultra low coils which got a shorter shock body.

If you have a full car of people do you have rubbing issues with the tires against the fender wells?

My konis have never bottomed out in the shock. Unless you had huge bumpstops on yours I'm not sure what the issue was. I had bilstein pss9s before and couldn't handle how bone rattling they were, and they didn't go near low enough so I got rid of them for the konis. It comes to preference and how you have them set up, since we both made the opposite switch and are both happy with them. To dar3d3evil. My car doesn't rub in the rear at all no matter how full it is. Front rubs a bit on big bumps and full lock but it isn't really affected by passenger load.

What issues would it cause? There is the piece there on the shock body that prevents the perch from dropping below the threads. I probably won't do it. More effort than its worth to go lower than what is already too low, but are you saying this for concerns of accelerated wear on suspension parts or an actual safety perspective?

R&Red the oil pressure sending unit. Had to move the steering pump out of the
