The Lexus is a replacement for my other summer car which I still have. The other car is not a true summer car either but it has summer tires so I only drive it in the summer. That car I worry it might stall in rush hour, or something fails or break everytime I get in to drive it
It's eligible for collector plates so I think I will drive it more once I fix all the oil leaks Quote:

Especially in the morning during rush hour when I'm still tired. But now I want one and will get rid of one or both of these cars if I can find a nice mint condition white one for sale at a reasonable price

Thanksgiving weekend cleanup
- Polished and ceramic coated the brake calipers
- Cleaned and dressed the fender liners
- Decon washed wheels and tires. Lightly polished the wheels and ceramic coated them. Corrected the center cap placement (aligned with valve stem and wheel lock)
- Cleaned all the jambs with APC & rinseless wash. Applied paint sealant to the jambs.
- Polished the exhaust tips and ceramic coated them
- Washed the car
Slowly bringing this car back to life one long weekend at a time. Still a long list of things left to do before its presentable but progress is progress. I guess that's the joy of buying a used car. |

Loong, what's your product of choice for a hydrophobic coating on the windshield? I'm about done my stash of Aquapel and assume there are newer and better products out there?
My routine is/was wash, glass stripper, glass cleaner, Aquapel.

My routine is/was wash, glass stripper, glass cleaner, Aquapel. | I've been trying multiple different ones. On my previous Mazda3, I used Gyeon Q2 view coating and that worked great. No wiper chatter and was super easy to apply. It's hard to beat Aquapel though for the price point but I've read good things about Soft99 glaco super speed. Durability really depends on how often you use your wipers. On my wifes CX-5 I just apply a bit of Amour Detail Supply Amplify (Si02 based drying aid) after each wash and that usually lasts until the next wash which is once every 2 months or so. Quote:
