Wish i could. Rear ended someone in march :( |
So the new ninja is out and it's not a 250 anymore but a 300 now. It is fuel injected as well. Not sure about pricing. If priced right i think it will sell like hot cakes. It also looks like kawasaki made updates to their entire line up except for the zx-6r but I could be wrong. Ninja 300 - Street/touring - Model 2013 - Canadian Kawasaki Motors Inc. There are also rumors of honda bringing a cbr500 and cb500 possibly even a 400 into the market. |
Not a big colour selection. :( |
looks great man, makes me think its time to get rid of the 250 before i lose anymore money on it lol |
such a bitch bike. |

bike's a bike, i got no problem riding my 250. it was the most financially sound thing for me and its enjoyable to ride around the city. besides, I dont need to impress the idiots at the stop lights or the fools who need more cc to show off to their friends. |

Why are so many people choosing this bike to start with? Either all these people are dense and have no idea what they're doing or they're making a smart decision to get comfortable with a new hobby. I would rather have someone who isn't confident riding a more powerful bike ride a "bitch bike" over a powerful bike from the start and hurt themselves and/or others. Enjoy the 250 brah. I know I did. |
i got a 2012 cbr250r myself, when I was choosing between the ninja and the cbr, it was all about maximum fuel economy for me. while the ninja is faster and sportier, you riding a 250 anyway, you aint gonna go fast, may aswell save the gas. My insurance is 30 a month, 10 bucks in gas gets me 300km, and the fastest I went was 130 before I got scared, and it had no problems getting there |
Yup had a friend crash his rr in about his first month of riding. Too much cc and testosterone, let it rip on cold tires from his buddies house. Lost traction and crashed 3 houses down lol. I think a lot of it is also just developing a mature attitude. Riding is serious business haha. But you're right, it is a learning bike for me, and doubles as a damn good commuter. Ps he still rips on me for getting a 250. Oh well LOL Btw glove, I found that the ninja was going for a lot cheaper than the 250's--used atleast. That was the major deciding factor for me. kinda wish i waited for the new one:( got my ninja beginning of aug ive put about 4k on it so far..freakin love this bike, its cheap and is great for everyday communiting. not looking into upgrading anytime soon, but it does suck when i ride with friends and they just zoom past me :whine: |

thats why i love my 400 =D i rode my friend's 2010 ninja 250. perfect for a commuter, but FI makes it even better. love the looks of that 2013 too. i never understood getting a big bike off the bat... i tried going that way and scared my self to a smaller bike haha.. |
i bought a 250 at the end august rode it for about 3 weeks and upgraded to a 636. i rode the shit out of the 250 i put almost 2500k on it went up to mt baker 3 days after i bought it and if i had gone with a bigger a bike i would have been in big trouble lol i feel a lot more comfortable on the big bike after i had time to get used a small one took me about 30 mins to get a hang of things on the big bike. the bigger bikes just blow the 250 away. imo if after you take the PRS (which every1 should) and your still a poor rider it would be very wise to grab a 250 to start on. they are so much fun in the city =] |
