iPod sound issue

ipod won't play out of left earphone, earphones work fine on computer but not on ipod

anyone had this issue before?

I know this sound stupid
but make sure you plug your headphone in to the 3.5mm jack all the way in.

i do, sound only comes out of left side if i push it with my finger and hold it

if i let go then sound stops coming from left side

try different headphones or audiojack

if problem is still there chances are your headphone jack is broken

same problem happened to me , then one day both SIDES stopped working

luckily i was still covered under warranty otherwise ur SOL

had this ipod for like 3 years already..

Yeah it's pretty much common if you drop an ipod to the ground where the headphone jack hit.

Yep, sign the headphone jack is out. I went through 2 iPod touches and a classic before giving up on iPods until I bought one cheap from an RS member here.

Try wiggling the headphone, or twisting it, if not, You just need to fix the contacts on the jack.

yeah your contacts are hoop de doop on your ipod.. you can probably get it to work if you slip some tinfoil over the 3.5 mm jack that has it sound to increase the diameter of ze jack.

Go get headphone splitters and put headphones into the right side of the splitters and you now have sound on both sides. Hope that helpss
