Pagani's are like the new Ferrari, or at least how I used to think of Ferrari's as a kid: Super exotic, super exclusive and super expensive.
You can see so many Ferrari's on the road these days that they've kind of lost some appeal to me.

Do want!
And I agree with Great68. To me, the Zonda is the new bedroom wall poster of the 00's that the Countach was of the 80's. The Zonda range is probably my most favourite supercar to date (though the F40 is still riiiiiight up next to it). If there was ever a car I need to drive in order to fulfill my bucket list, it would be a Zonda. |

If I had money, I would definately get the Zonda and not that new model with the stupid active flaps.
Manuals are getting phased out |

The attention to detail is just insane! The fact that the carbon fiber weave meets up like that... |

You can see so many Ferrari's on the road these days that they've kind of lost some appeal to me. | You got to remember that Zondas are not available in Canada. Want to guess how many Zondas you will see with N signs in UBC/Richmond if they were legal in Canada from day 1?
Another reason is that Mr. Pagani himself is still alive and still in control. Once he is gone and the company gets bought over by VW or Fiat you will see tons of them on the road as they will have a "Entry Model with the Audi V10/Ferrari 4.2" or some shit like that.

zondas are for the ultra elite...even leno said there's only 7 in the US and he doesn't own one. I doubt even if becomes legal in Canada we'll see many.
but yeah it's cause he's still alive.

absolutely agree with Lomac.
The Zonda is the race car little boys dream about at night like the Countach and F40 when I was a kid.

theres actually 1 zonda in Canada, Ontario, and that's an Zonda R. If you don't believe me you guys can check this out: Legendary Motorcar - Home of Dream Car Garage
it's the only one in the world with blacked out wheels and glossed out carbon fibre, the others are with matte carbon fibre and golden yellow wheels.
Supposedly, owned by some business person and he keeps the car at that dealership.

Fiat & Audi's take over of Ferrari & Lamborghini really killed a lot of their exclusivity.
They're still great cars, but I don't get the same feelings about them as I did way back when.

Pretty crazy that most new supercar manufacturers fail, but Zonda is doing well.
Personally I Koenigsegg but Zonda's exhaust = |

Personally I Koenigsegg but Zonda's exhaust = | The thing is, Pagani is a very small company and it chose to stay that way for the attention-to-detail it needs. They build somewhere between 25~60 cars every year. And this is the result of increasing their production capability 3 times due to the overwhelming demand.
So, at a price of 1~1.7m per car, even if Pagani manages to take 50% of profit, the net profit is only 30 something million a year. Very small for big enterprises.
Other supercar makers want to make it big fast. So they ramp up production before having orders in place. And when they struggle to find demand, they lose money on all the expansions.

Excuse my ignorance, but why is the Zonda not available in Canada? And if it's to do with regulation, does Zonda not think the Canadian market is big enough to justify some minor tweaks?
