| left turn lane "traffic light hack"
have you ever wonder how the left turn lane activated traffic lights work?
It's basically detecting your vehicle through the ground sensor "loops"
They purposly position them so if you are the first car, and nobody behind you, it will not activate the left turn light. But if there is 3 vehicles in the left turn lane, it will activate it. The first and third vehicle will complete the loop.
SO, if you notice there is someone already in the first loop. If you are the second vechicle in going to make a left turn, simply just stop at the "third vehicle loop sensor". This only works when the light is red.
The blue car's will make the left turn signal activate, while the red cars will be stuck there.

"well duh" applies.
I used to wait above the sensors and move forward when someone joined the lane, just enough so they'd be over it
Not sure how legal that is... It's probably the worst thing I ever regularly did while driving

Case in point, left turn from 88 Ave to BC Hydro offices.

I remember awhile back I told my dad they were light activated, poor guy still flashes his highbeams at them. I told my mom how they really work, she just laughs at him when he does it. Trolling runs in the family

Never again! Today, I never pull forward if i'm the second car "completing" the loop. Doesn't matter how many cars are lined up behind me.

Don't move 3 seconds before the light turns yellow or else it will trigger a reset, Then a time paradox will send Solid snake into a comma, Chuck Norris will GTA you after a swift round house kick and the space time continuum will cause the U.S.S enterprise to implode on itself... Now ya know.

I do this all the time, figured this out myself...I thought it's pretty obvious.
Annoys me when I'm the first car and the car behind me doesnt stop at the other sensor but stops nice and close behind my ass.

What about the C-lais who parked 10meter behind the sensor in order to not have sun shine on her face or arm?
That means : you can trick the sensor even if you want to, cuz your C-lai friend driver didnt activate the first sensor/
