Reason being is that if they find anything, the quote to do the repair will be twice as expensive as Nixon.. impoving your position to negotiate with the seller
Then take the car to Nixon for repairs after you buy it lol.

+1
BJ BMW I think charges $300 for their PPI. That quote was for a 2002 M3, don't know if it's any different for a 330 ZHP
wow those zhp's are rare! like unicorns haha
good luck
I like to browse for local ZHPs on CL from time to time, and it appears that most of the ones for sale are the vert model. The 6spd manual sedans are probably rarer in BC (with the exception to the imported imola red one that's been on sale for over 7 mths)..
Just to add, a lot of people don't know its a ZHP. 2 years ago I helped a friend find a black 4 door steptronic ZHP for cheap, it was sold as just a 330i.
Oh and shameless plug for werner, installed a header on the aforementioned ZHP
Only thing I'll warn you about is the alcantera steering wheel which gets roughed up fast, the cooling system which you'll almost surely have problems with (until you replace everything lol), and control arms/bushings which can be damn expensive for a ZHP ($600/side IIRC)
^ All E46s have cooling system maintenance. The ZHP doesn't use different cooling system parts. The parts that are suspect are fairly cheap if sourced from the States:
- Water pump: $60
- Thermostat: $45
- Expansion tank: $80
- Hoses: $30 a pop
I'm not much of a mechanic, but even I managed to replace my thermostat and expansion tank in an afternoon. A refresh of the system every 100K and you're good to go.
First to fail !SG evar! Now i have yellow fever...

Thanks for the replies guys. I went to Nixon, cost of the PPI was $150 and I am very happy with the inspection and service. Car is pretty clean so I decided to buy it! My new summer toy:
