BMW tech available to diagnose issue with a 99 323i? dont know any bmw techs so hoping someone on here will be one or know someone. i have a 1999 bmw 323i sedan that isnt running well. need to have someone look at it to figure out what needs doing. cars parked in cloverdale area. it shakes heavily when started so cant be driven and i dont kno where to even start with this issue. i will be checking the engine mounts when i get there later to see if thats issue text/call me at 7782412270 if you can come see it! |
hmm, if u manage to get it started, while car is running, try popping off the oil cap for a bit and see if that causes any reaction. most notible is the ccvv, they tend to go. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/diagrams/h/e/54.png items replace 1, 2, 3, 4, 7. not being a mech myself, but have worked in parts and service at bmw, its something to look into. also look at the basic maintenance items, oil change w/ correct weighted oil, fluids topped up or flushed, air filters, spark plugs, ignition coils. notice any oil consumption issues, check engine lights? |
I have a LOT of experience with e36's, and i can almost guarantee 100% that your problem is a big vacuum leak, its not that serious but your car will use more gas, shake when started, and low torque at low rpm. Depending on your issue,it should be simple to fix As the guy above me stated , the ccv valve might be at cause but dont buy a new one, just clean it. |
