Lat machines Slowly starting to build my home gym I just bought a PowerTec squat rack & Iron Master superbench last month and now its time for a lat machine. What brand & model do you guys recommend? I'd like to spend under $600 so a selectorized one is out of the question and a low row is a must. |
I know of this sweeet lat machine. It really targets the lats well and helps them grow like no other. Spoiler! Berz out. |
And barbell rows, and dumbbell rows |
All you need is weights, a rack, a bench, and a pullup bar. |
I already have all that and a lat/pulldown machine is a must especially in a home gym it doesnt just work your lats. Went and looked at this one Fitness Depot its okay but for $1000 I could probably get something much better across the border. |
You guys shouldn't be so quick to fail.... What if the OP is a girl? When was the last time you seen one of those do a pull-up? |
That comment is worth 10x the fails |
I already took my question to BB.com and bought one since you guys have no idea what a lat machine is u guys probably dont pump dat iron. |

You must be rich, because to spend over 500 bucks on a Lat machine....Seriously? So now you have a squat rack, bench station, and a Lat Station? Good job for trying to build a home gym, but bad moves - both financial and space wise. Buy a power rack, with a pull-up station - total cost of that, would be 500 and be a way smarter alternative. Not to mention you could push yourself with crash bars in the rack for squats/OH Presses. And buy a weighted belt for pullups. Bam, saved you a lot of money for a better machine that can benefit you more. |

I have a power rack with a pull up station did you even read the thread? I used the cable pull down for a variety of exercises at the gym so I have plenty of use for it. Why do you guys hate the lat machine LOL |
Oops. Pictures of home gym please. It must be pretty decent. |
We don't hate the lat machine but saying you need one to build your lats is where you went wrong. There a ton of things you can do to build your lats that do not require a machine. I guess you can do tri pulldowns and shit now too so if you got the space, and the money which you seem to then by all means buy all the gear you need. Berz out. |
