Have you ever "thrown away your money"?

Basically, you buy something or paid for whatever and then you realize "wtf, I just wasted $xxx on that?"

Be it something off Craigslist or whatever item where there are no refunds.

Let's hear some tales.

I.e. bad electronics? Clothing that doesn't fit? Incompatible computer goods? Stuff for your car? Cheap hookers? Buying dinner/drinks in hopes of getting some play but ending up getting nada?

Buy dumb clothes that I thought were cool
Leave halfway through a shitty movie
Dates (Not exactly "thrown away", just crossed another girl off the list)
Overpay for parking
Overpay for a shitty meal
Buy an iPad

The list goes on...

UBC CVC ski trip
Went with bunch of my friends who were also non-CVC members. We all still regret it till today when the trip was like months ago.
Ironically their promo video is mostly full of footages of my friends

I literally threw away a 100 dollar bill when i was like 2-3 according to my parents.

Apparantly i threw it away cause there was a little rip in the bill and i thought it was broken.

Obviously for personal reasons but if I can list a few:

-Wasn't a great experience
-Wasn't good pricing
-Wasn't our crowd (lots of dumb fobs trying to act all hardcore starting fights)
-There was this couple that came into our suite because they were friends with one of our room mate's friends & they tried to fuck in my friend's room and I had to bitch them out (I think this was the high light of the trip actually)
-Some insecure fob tried to fight my friend because apparently APPARENTLY my friend was flirting with that fob's gf when CLEARLY the chick was driunk & all over my friend and he tried to peace her so badly asking me to make her leave and stuff.
-We paid extra for the outdoor zakuzzi that was fucking broken
-someone kept on reporting us for being too loud when we weren't even in our room
-deposit was refunded late
-List kinda goes on and on and on.

On the bright side our guides were awesome (Melissa and Neil) and I won 50/50
Overall we all hated the trip.

I don't think these activities listed as money thrown away... they are all like paid lessons...

You only learn how to do xx or yy after you had enough lessons...

With that being said, there are stuff that you simply don't learn...

Example: Two days ago at McD... I said to myself, "I gotta stop eating these craps... for same price, I could be eating something else."

Today at office...
Co-worker: yo, wanna go grab a quick bite at McD?
Me: hell ya!
