yeah i had my hopes up because they delayed it and it's a new engine instead of using Assassin's Creed's anvil engine
i was reading there's a good chance the PC port will use dunia2 a la Far Cry 3...i hope that's not the case that game ran like ass...much stutters
I hope the division will look just as good as its reveal trailer...
i must have short memory...only recall that happening to the recent Alien game and Far Cry 3
back to playing Sleeping Dogs for open world graphics
No way, all of them (or at least most).. The first I can remember is MGS1. Also compare the GTA V screenshots everyone was drooling over to the actual game, for another recent example
its wierd because when they demo this game with the tablet intergration at pax prime with the ps4, it actually looked really nice
That would have been a dev kit (AKA a PC...)
Remember that the CPU in the PS4 and Xbox One is actually very weak. It's essentially a tablet CPU, but with 8 cores instead of 4. Also the GPU power isn't significantly high... Along the lines of a $150 GPU, IIRC?
This is much better than the Xbox 360 and especially the PS3, but don't expect too much, IMO. You will only end up being disappointed.
it's alright...looking forward to the nvidia tech goodies but textures are very average
when GTAV comes to PC with Max Payne 3-like optimizations i'm guessing it'll look better than this "next-gen" engine
so for fcks sake, aside from Forza 5 on Xbox1 which other games on either new-new gen console runs @ 1080p and 60fps ?
I don't think any of us are imagining being promised this spec as a baseline for every game coming out on these new consoles, but the failure of pretty much EVERY single game since console release to reach these specs I think should be causing a bigger backlash then a few articles here and there.
These publications, websites, blogs, must all be getting paid up the ass by Microsoft and Sony

They're not paid off, most videogame sites just don't know how hardware works, so their expectations were set too high. The only game site that really knows what's going on is Eurogamer
just played the game for about 2 hours, and gotta say it's pretty taxing on hardware, I'm trying to run it maxed out at 1080p and I'm getting between 40-90 fps, I can't v-sync it to 60 frames, for that smoothness like I was expecting to be able to do with my hardware, but I don't know the game officially hasn't been released yet I guess we should wait for new drivers from AMD and Nvidia
But I dont really like the game, just waaay too much stuff going on on the screen at once, i cant just walk down the street without getting person and item popups all over, it's like visiting a porn site without ad-blocker on your browser...
And I read no mod support, I doubt I'll play more than another hour or so, just not digging the premise of the whole thing, all i do is walk around and hack shit.... still waiting for Grand Theft Auto for the PC to come out that should be awesome

Haven't finished act 1 yet but still enjoying it! Graphics are phenomenal but vehicle handling is a lot like sleeping dogs/saints row. The hack thing is also pretty cool as each citizen basically has a randomly generated "interest". Saw a guy and it said " dolphin killer"
Do you think my wife as a "Person of Interest" fan would like it? She has liked watching some video games, but not all... I was thinking she might like this if the themes are similar
^ well like SpeedStars said, there's lots of "interesting people" roaming the streets, and you can literally spy into their lives but those are all pretty much side quests... theres so much stuff to do overall just looking through the map all the icons and im only 2 hours into the game.... They added these acid trip shorts where you go to a drug dealer and pop an acid pill and supposedly have a crazy trip, and it's just crazy shit like roaming around the city with a mechanical spider with guns shootin shit up.... I did one where I just drove a car from hell and ran down cops who had Ghostrider flaming skulls.... game has a lot of stuff to do bottom line, but it doesn't appeal to me because I'm a realism simpleton, I mean I'm still waiting on a new gen RPG without any fckin magic and sorcerers and elves and orcs, lol
