Just came across this, for those who are on ultra, this guy's tutorial seems like it makes the game look a lot more like the E3 footage we saw... Couldn't test it out myself as I don't run an i7 octocore
just played the game for about 2 hours, and gotta say it's pretty taxing on hardware, I'm trying to run it maxed out at 1080p and I'm getting between 40-90 fps
pretty excited to grab this tomorrow. not really sure what to expect. a game like this will be defined by the controls. i found controls were a huge issue in The Last of Us and really did damage to the game for me. hope thats not the case here

^^ so you pre-ordered the game and they shipped it out to you already?
This is normal for pre-orders especially via FS and BB. I've been pre-ordering for years and they always send shipping notification the day prior. Then on the day of it ships in the morning and arrives shortly there after considering the warehouse is just in Richmond.
On a side note, I'll receive a copy tomorrow for PS4, if anyone wants it for $45 it's yours. I'll most likely be in South Van at the time the game arrives and you can come by and grab it if you want.

I was looking for new drivers and I saw that tomorrow AMD will release 14.6 that will improve performance and add Crossfire support for this game...

just played the game for about 2 hours, and gotta say it's pretty taxing on hardware, I'm trying to run it maxed out at 1080p and I'm getting between 40-90 fps, I can't v-sync it to 60 frames, for that smoothness like I was expecting to be able to do with my hardware, but I don't know the game officially hasn't been released yet I guess we should wait for new drivers from AMD and Nvidia
But I dont really like the game, just waaay too much stuff going on on the screen at once, i cant just walk down the street without getting person and item popups all over, it's like visiting a porn site without ad-blocker on your browser...
And I read no mod support, I doubt I'll play more than another hour or so, just not digging the premise of the whole thing, all i do is walk around and hack shit.... still waiting for Grand Theft Auto for the PC to come out that should be awesome
I kind of felt like this when I tried it, you're busy doing one thing and constantly getting distracted by everything else. I haven't given up on it quite yet, haven't had a chance to play it much either I'll probably give it a whirl this weekend before having a real opinion on it.
