How's everyone's insurance cost for the FRS/BRZ?

What's your discount level, and how much are you paying a year now?

toyobaru 09-21-2012 08:00 AM

Im paying about $2,800 for 1 year, monthly payments. I've got about 30% discount now. Its not much more than my 8th gen civic si coupe.

momo77 11-13-2012 09:37 PM

2800 is pretty high with 30% i had a 2011 c300 mercedes and i has 15% and only paid 3100

whats ur 3rd party liab limit
collision deductible
comprehensive deductible

2damaxmr2 05-31-2013 06:53 PM

Judging by craigslist ad, there's definitely some in stock available immediately. But which colour + transmission would still depend.

decent number in stock now tho I would wait for the monogram series if you want a FRS with dual zone climate and push start

Just check it out, only thing i really want is the HID and the spoiler and maybe the push start. Is it worth waiting few months? Seems like monogram = brz?

Since they are essentially the same car how is the stock for brz? no shortage as well? I know toyota does not negotiate on price, will i be able to haggle at subaru?

scioneric 10-29-2013 06:30 PM

We don't have any news for the monogram. Not sure we will have it here or not. We do have 2014 in stock :)

there's a guy on the local ft86clubvancouver that is selling his full catback (un-res) for about 700$
FS: Perrin Unres Catback + Res Front Pipe

trollface 11-11-2013 04:56 PM

Thanks, he Pm'd me but it was not what I was looking for.

Sizing? 2.5 or 3?

There a groupbuy for a full headerback 3" Perrin on ft86 forums right now.

Monogram = GT86 pretty much but like Eric said unsure if coming to Canada or not.

Personally I don't think the upgrade to BRZ is worth the extra 6k. I rather go turbo!

TypeRNammer 11-13-2013 09:24 PM

Any deals on a UEL header by any chance?

Yes there are many deals on headers right now but it all depends on what you are looking for?

Best for power = JDL UEL $1000 (Almost as good as HKS EL)
Good sounds decent power = Revworks $650ish
Cheap = Hotpipes $400ish
Maybe Turbo later = FA20Club $900
Cheap and huge warranty = Borla $500ish

You got a FRS? What no more Honda life?

EDIT: After SEMA a bunch of more headers came out. DC sports has a UEL with a massive savings right now due to being part of the first batch. $505

Tsudo just released a UEL header for under $300. No clue about how it will be at that price tho
