Tony Gallagher - It's great the Canucks won the cup and all...but why did Henrik passed the cup to Kesler instead of his brother Daniel when Daniel WAS CLEARLY the better player in these playoffs...it makes me soooooo frustrated that I'm going to write a whole damn article about it in The Province.
David Pratt - Guy who believes poker is a sport.

I think Gallagher would have some interesting, insider stories. The guy has been around long enough.
Pratt's stories, whether true or not, about womanizing and his egotistical views of himself being the man would provide entertainment for short while before I got annoyed. However, he would likely have a bottle of booze which would help me cope so I choose him.

Please stop posting tweets of random "friends of X". That could literally be anyone. I'll only believe it when a team/agent/TSN tweet it.
It's so frustrating to read, especially when we're starved for Canucks news haha.

Gallagher is worse than Pratt. Gallagher went from respected sports reporter to crazy ol' coot in the last 2 or 3 seasons.

Mark Messier wins $6-million arbitration case against Vancouver Canucks
Hall of Fame centre awarded multimillion-dollar settlement
VANCOUVER - Mark Messier has been awarded a $6-million settlement in the Hall of Famer’s long-standing grievance over money he claimed he was owed by the Vancouver Canucks.
George Nicolau, an 87-year-old New York-based arbitrator with a long history of handling high-profile sports arbitration cases, rendered his decision recently after meeting with both sides earlier this year.
The Canucks made only a brief comment on the decision.
“Canucks Sports & Entertainment is aware of the arbitrator’s decision and will have no further comment on the matter,” the team said in a statement to The Vancouver Sun Thursday.
Messier did not return a message left for him with the New York Rangers, for whom he serves as special assistant to the president.
Messier signed a five-year, free-agent contract with the Canucks in 1997 for $6 million a season. The dispute between Messier and the team is believed to centre on deferred money the hockey player felt was owed to him.
It has been reported that Messier had a clause in his contract that would compensate him if the value of the Canuck franchise increased over the life of his contract, which expired in 2002.
Messier ended up playing only three seasons with the Canucks, who exercised an option in the contract to buy him out for $2 million after the 1999-2000 season. Messier, now 51, returned to New York and played four more seasons for the Rangers before retiring after the 2003-04 season.
The Canucks struggled during Messier’s tenure with the team. They had a losing record and missed the playoffs all three years. Messier had 52 goals and 162 points in 207 games with the Canucks.
Ownership of the team has changed hands since Messier played in Vancouver. He was signed by former owner John McCaw, who sold 50 per cent of the team and what was then called General Motors Place for a reported $150 million to Aquilini Investment Group in November 2004. Two years later, the Aquilinis bought the remaining 50 per cent of the franchise and arena for what was reported to be another $150 million.
Last November, Forbes magazine pegged the value of the Canucks at $300 million US. In 1999, the magazine estimated the Canucks worth at $100 million US.
A spokesman for Francesco Aquilini said Thursday he had no comment and referred questions to the Canucks’ management.
The National Hockey League and the NHL Players’ Association both refused to comment on the case.

Maybe the owing of $6 million to Messier is an omen for a Doan signing with the Canucks...

CANUCKS SIGN SECOND-ROUND PICK MALLET TO CONTRACT
VANCOUVER -- The Vancouver Canucks announced the signing forward Alexandre Mallet on Thursday.
The Amqui, Que., native was originally picked in the second round, 57th overall by the Canucks in the 2012 NHL entry draft in June.
The 20-year-old Mallet recorded 81 points (34-47-81) and added 132 penalty minutes in 68 games with the Rimouski Oceanic in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in the 2011-12 season.
In the 2012 QMJHL playoffs, Mallet had 25 points (10-15-25) in 21 games to help the seventh-seeded Oceanic to the President Cup final.
Details of the deal were not disclosed.

Mallet going to play for the Wolves probably. He's eligible for the AHL.
I was really surprised how many older players Gillis drafted this year. It's like they have this new out of the box thinking in drafting late bloomers.

Messier was fed with a golden spoon in Vancouver
after shitty attempt to lure Gretzky, we settled with Moose
I will be honest, I was ecstatic to see Messier as a Canuck, but what followed after really changed my view towards who is suppose to be the greatest captain in the modern NHL

I was excited for Messier.
Now, I hope to meet him so I can ask him for an autograph.
"Hey Mess, can I get an autograph? Can you sign it 'To Ed, sorry I suck donkey cock and ruined the Canucks."
