So according to quebec law, Employers can't lockout employees that isn't part of a Union. The PA isnt a union and thus it would be illegal for the habs to lock out players... its interesting for sure

I think the difference with Burrows was he took significantly less money on his current contract to keep building himself up, and I think his agent will use this fact to try and convince the Canucks to give him both term AND market value (or very close to). Burrows is smart enough to know his offensive production is a large byproduct of playing with Hank/Dank so I don't see another Anson Carter situation here. With what Trow Brauer signed for today, I think its pretty clear Burrows will be in the 4M range.
