there is a lot of downtime/standing around. But what I like about it is that crazy shit seems to happen in every game. Whether it's a great interception, forced fumble, crazy punt returns.. there just seems to be at least a couple crazy plays in every game.
With hockey, you kind of know what to expect. You know what I mean?
Also, NFL coverage really puts you right there into the play. When watching hockey, you are always kind of far away.
The NFL is the best reason to get HD. Best camera work in sports. Really puts you into the action. Football is the one of the only sport better on TV than in person.
In terms of NHL TV coverage, it's the only time i've ever heard the comment "they never had an HD camera available to send to the arena for the game" You would never get that type of response from the NFL, production is the best of the best.
Production is amazing, but when a NFL broadcast is four hours, and the game is 60 minutes plus stoppages, theres a problem. I get pissed off when they go punt return>commercial>one play that goes out of bounds>commercial. Posted via RS Mobile

Yea, it's funny when you watch NHL Highlights and come across a game like Phoenix or Columbus and the highlights are in SD and look like shit.

I like hockey but there is something about NFL that is just awesome. Every Sunday has the hype and feel that NHL playoffs do as far as I'm concerned. I have Sunday ticket so I can watch all the games and I find myself changing the channel a lot. Don't get me wrong I like hockey as well but in all honesty the first half of the regular season doesn't mean all that much in the NHL. Almost every single game in the NFL from start to end if important. In hockey you have a bad month you can rebound, in football you have a bad month and your season is over.
Way off topic but will not be missing the NHL until football season is over in January.

Big props to Hamhuis and his wife for making a $100,000 donation to build Ronald McDonald house on the grounds of B.C. Children's Hospital. The house is for families that have kids who need medical treatment.

True but I download the games anyway, so all the commercials are stripped
I read a stat the other day that the average NFL game has about 7 minutes of action lol
