Maybe we would have gotten past LA, but with how well the other teams were playing we weren't going to get any further. There were issues beyond missing Dank in our games. We can say we lost to the eventual cup winners to make ourselves feel better, but reality is LA got stronger as the playoffs wore on and were able to stay rested and healthy.

Skating with the team is no problem but interacting with the fans might be awkward. Since you know.. he's not really the face of the franchise anymore.

Going from God status to doormat would be rough for anyone, especially Lu who seems to take things really personally.

I think it would be a good thing if Lu interacted with fans like that. No matter whats been happening hes still a part of the team and really I'm happy the way he's been dealing with things. It shows how much of a team player he is and if the trade doesn't happen sooner then later it will be better off in the long run for everyone.

Apparently there were like ten JB messages written on the memorial... but only one person was stupid enough to put their name on it.

I was outraged at first. But then I realized she's just a young teen. Probably unaware of the magnitude of her stupidity. We've all done something stupid when we were younger. I just hope this won't escalate and cause great distress to her and her family. We've seen what happened to Amanda Todd. A sad tragic story of cyber bullying. Reporting a news is one thing and targeting a defenseless young teen behind the internet is another.

Yes it's bad that it happened but its nothing unfixable.

She needs to apologize for her actions and clean it up.

He's been interacting with the fans just fine from what I've seen. He's not exactly a doormat, nobody is trying to rid him like cancer. Fans realize he's still an elite goalie, and he's getting more support now than during last regular season IMO.

Ah, I haven't really been following the team off the ice as much because of the really slow summer/lockout. If that's the case I retract my statement.

As for the doormat thing, I'm exaggerating a little but his overall popularity has certainly seen a strong decline. I know casual "fans" want to see him gone or can't wait for him to be gone since from a bandwagoner's perspective, Schneider can take us all the way. :badpokerface:

Doesn't matter if its C-wall or Lu, neither are going to be stealing us a cup and its unreasonable to expect any goalie to be able to do that in today's game. The key to going all the way is in the 3rd and 4th lines. And the coaching staff.
