didn't like that hit, not a big fan of hits injuring other players... at that velocity and weight, concussions can happen EASY

jeedee 10-17-2012 01:06 AM

lol how was it a hit that was intent on injuring?

It was a clean-shoulder to shoulder hit on a guy with the puck, who happened to have his head down.

akalic 10-17-2012 01:17 AM

that hit was amazing....so this is the feeling of adrenaline sports...such a waste of time watching canada get pummeled 8-1 in soccer

spoon.ek9 10-17-2012 06:25 AM

haha that video made me smile. go kassian.

Maybe you should stick to Ringette then because that hit was clean and solid.

rsx 10-17-2012 07:35 AM

Clean hit. It seemed like he left his feet, but actually the recipient's momentum takes Kassian's leg out.

Gumby 10-17-2012 07:49 AM

I'm cool with big, clean hits, but to me, it looks like Kassian left his feet prior to the hit (which I'm not cool with).

Expresso 10-17-2012 08:47 AM

Would've been a penalty in the NHL...

Blah_Teggie 10-17-2012 08:52 AM

Can't wait for RS-X! Are we having more than one pool this year?

SumAznGuy 10-17-2012 09:13 AM

Can't really tell from those camera angles. To me, it didn't look like he jumped into the hit.

Speaking of the baby Nucks, anyone going this Friday or Saturday to watch the baby Nucks play against the baby Flames?

Best tickets available from the Heat website is on the blueline, $36.50 each.

RS meet in Langley to watch the baby Nucks?

Tim Budong 10-17-2012 09:13 AM

Borderline hit. Both players were anticipating the play. Looked like shoulder to arm... Kassian did leave his feet, but as I said, both players anticipated the hit regardless if the other guy had his head down.

Good hit regardless.

AzNightmare 10-17-2012 09:27 AM

I thought it was black and white that if a player's feet leaves the ice before impact on a hit, it's consider dirty.

I'm not sure about the rest of you guys, but in a way, I'm glad this lockout happened. I've been way too busy living my life outside of work and outside of the internet to pay close enough attention to an entire season of canucks hockey. Don't get me wrong though, I will be happy when hockey resumes. But for now, I'm making the most of my time doing other things! :D

first you ask what an out clause is, now you're not happy with a clean hit?

maybe hockey isn't your forte, broh

That Kassian hit was pretty clean IMO... the most telling thing about the hit is the guy who got hit got up and wasn't pissed at him... he knew it was fair
