Bettman and owners try to get out of current player contracts. When you sign your name to a contract and you have set dollars, some jobs you can sue the guy for not paying you a legal, binding contract. And the owners seem to think it’s OK not to honor the contracts.
Brad Marchand, we can hate him all we want, but he's good at what he does, sorta like when Burrows was grabbin all that attention.
Eager is just a first round flop, who I guess decides to play when he feels like it..(if ever...)
I'm not a boston fan but I respect Marchand, he has balls for a very small guy and never gets pushed around. I don't know why people call him POS, canucks fans are going to see zack kassian play like a bigger version of Marchand in a few years if Kassian improves enough. Kassian was so dirty during his minor league days I can't wait to see what he does with his size lol
^u respect Marchand? u kidding me? Hes out there to hurt players. I cant even name one Canuck thats out there to intentionaly injure players. Dont say Kassian cause hes only played half a season for us and hasnt hurt anyone yet. Marchand is a good player, he doesnt need to pull that kinda shit.

I dont liek Marchand, but your statement is questionable...
I don't think he has any intention to hurt anyone out there

Dude you're usually pretty spot on with your posts.............. but you're either really forgetful or blind on this one... lol... go youtube up some of Marchand's dirty ass hits change your mind pretty fast.
I miss hockey. I should be heading out to the bars after work these days with my Canucks jersey on watching the game, eating some wings and drinking some cold beer.

I stand by my point. He does have a track record of questionable hits, but I still do not buy the "im out there to kill someone" theory.
I'd say it has more to do with being too "emotional" at certain times.
The only incident I remember off the top of my head is this one. Everyone talks about the Salo hit, that was just a bit too low for me. Given that, last year's shanahammer set the tone for a lot of missed calls, or at times, over judgement just to use certain players as an example.
In regards to the lockout. As many of the press has said. Two parties can come to terms FINANCIALLY pretty quickly, but when it comes to an ideology on what is morally correct, it can take forever.
Obviously, no one will disagree with the PA on fighting for clubs to honor contracts. Everyone is entitled to their money. At the same time, knowing the track record of Donald Fehr, well, lets just say that he almost killed baseball. Politics plays a big role and its probably pretty tense internally on both sides
