Yes, because every GM in the league is a moron. Hey, how about we ship Raymond to Pittsburgh for Crosby. That guy is overrated and concussed anyways and Raymond has speed! He's gonna have a bounce-back year!
Those are also ENORMOUS deals. I seriously doubt any GM would trade a star roster player for Lu as that would defeat the purpose. They want to trade prospects, young players with potential and picks because Luongo is 32 and gives them a window to win now. Trading a cornerstone like Kane, Hartnell, the Nuge...LOL.
To the Flyers for Coutourier + 2nd and 3rd for Lu would be a great deal for the Canucks. Hartnell seems unlikely. They fucking love that guy in Philly.

Hey! i'm not a Boston fan you couldn't pay me to be one of those, i'm a NYR fan since I started watching hockey! *equips flamesuit* before Richards before Nash but if I try to talk to some people about them its just "HURR U 0NLY LIKE THEM BCUZ THEY R CONTENDUR NOW"
I've only been to a few games, I got to see Lundquvist 40 save shutout when they played Van and won 4-0 last season

I was at that game too. I'm not a Rangers fan...but I'm a Lundqvist fan. The most consistently awesome goalie in the NHL in the last 10 years.
my step mom got me a Lundqvist jersey from NYC when she went the other month they finally have the supporting cast to help him out, especially with the emergence of Girardi/McDonagh last season they have both always been good but last season was a big step up, I thank the hockey gods/sather everyday knowing that we got McDonagh for Gomez
this bit of rest, Staal and Gaborik coming back healthy to start the season and adding Nash has set them up perfectly for the upcoming season

I don't think Eddie Lack is ready to be a backup in the league. What if Schneider does not play well? Then what? I'd rather have Lu stay with the team unless Gillis gets a good trade offer or absolutely fleeces another team's GM in a trade.

that was pretty good, myself though I can't wait to see more Tortorella. im pretty sure it was around 50k he gave up in fines for post game speeches last year

apparently no one wants to answer this question. luongo caries herpes that actually jump off of him and spread to fans and schneider is going to play every minute of every game and be the best goalie in history. period.
