Got my first pair of tickets so far...Feb. 15th, Dallas Stars.

Hopefully Jagr won't be injured. Might be his last year.

The Hype 01-14-2013 08:13 PM

Getting my tickets for the home opener tomorrow. Couple rows behind the Ducks bench, right beside the tunnel. I can't wait to high five Selanne.

Row 4. Are those any good for $95? Or still on the expensive side?

punkwax 01-14-2013 09:35 PM

That's reasonable.. go for it. Or sit a bit higher up but closer to center ice for same price: **** VANCOUVER Canucks -vs- ANAHEIM (SATURDAY) ****

If you know and trust the seller for $95 go that route.

Tim Budong 01-14-2013 10:19 PM

Don't know if they work right now..but...scored the package with the kings on it

Yeah, I'd say it's probably face value for season ticket holder.

My half season tickets are in 324/325 Row 6 and they're $93 each face value.

nah 01-14-2013 10:51 PM

Panthers Season tickets are the best deal yet!

As low as $7/game

Includes:
- Free Parking
- Free Home Jersey

UFO 01-14-2013 11:01 PM

haha saw that on the news.

Parking is always free at Panthers games, I think season ticket holders just get a closer spot.

Considering a jersey costs $120 retail, and there will be 24 home games, $7x24 = $168. So your game tickets really only cost $2/game; and that is the problem with the NHL today lol. I wonder how much Phoenix are going to have to pay their fans to come out this year...

dbaz 01-14-2013 11:04 PM

not sure if its been posted but
Has Roberto Luongo been traded yet?
now i dont have to read crap from toronto fans on hfboards.

So some Canuck records are in reach/ will probably be broken by the Sedins.

Total games played are as follows:
Linden 1140
Smyl 896
Henrik 892
Naslund 884
Daniel 859

By the end of the season, based on how healthy the Sedins usually are, they're most likely gonna end up second and third in all times games played for this franchise.

Total points are as follows:
Naslund - 756
Henrik - 747
Linden - 733
Daniel - 718

Henrik is 10 points away from becoming the franchise leader. Daniel needs 39 points to get into 2nd place, which is most likely gonna happen, barring injury.

For goals, Daniel is third and will most likely stay there. He's not gonna score 40 goals in 48 games, which would propel him to second place, behind Naslund.

Henrik and Daniel already top 2 in assists.

SkinnyPupp 01-15-2013 06:41 AM

It's mind boggling to me that the twins will (barring injury) have played more games than any other Canuck other than Linden by the end of this season :fulloffuck:

And next year they'll beat him to be #1 and #2 :fulloffuck:

Not surprising per se, just mind boggling considering we basically watched them grow up with the team to become the identity of the team itself

Hondaracer 01-15-2013 07:02 AM

Time fly's when your losing big games

It is mind boggling for me until I realize that Burke so badly wanted this to be a success that the kids got ice time right from the get go. The team fully invested in them developing in the NHL. Even during the dark days, the Sedins got their ice time, regardless of how green they were.

Yes, which led to all the morons calling into radio shows, calling them 'the sisters' :derp:

Mark Lee won't be calling Canucks games anymore...THANK GOD

Major Changes at Hockey Night in Canada « A Rouge Point

Quote:

Hockey Night in Canada is finally getting a much-needed makeover. Rick Ball and Kelly Hrudey will takeover calling the main 7:00pm Pacific/10:00pm Eastern game on many weeks this season. Scott Oake will continue to report rinkside and host After Hours for the second game of CBC’s doubleheader. Jim Hughson, Craig Simpson and Glenn Healy will continue to call the 7:00pm Eastern Toronto Maple Leafs broadcast most weeks. Bob Cole and Garry Galley will mostly do Canadiens and Senators games. CBC has demoted Mark Lee to Winnipeg Jets regional broadcasts, where he will work with Greg Millen. Dean Brown also remains with CBC to call selected games. CBC will only have four games twice this season, however, on Hockey Day in Canada and again on April 6. Kevin Weekes will also stay with Hockey Night in a new role.

In my opinion, it’s about time CBC made a change. Lee really brought down the quality of CBC’s western broadcasts. I’m not too familiar with Ball; however, I’ve heard good things about him from those in British Columbia. Hrudey’s new role will allow him to stay closer to home (he lives in Calgary). Usually during the playoffs Hrudey spends most of April and May in Toronto, away from his family.

I wonder if this might be the opportune time for CBC to move Bob Cole further aside. I’m a big a fan of Cole as anyone, I grew up with him, but if CBC really wants to promote Ball and Hrudey as the team of the future they should call a Conference Final. I don’t know if it will happen this year, but it seems that Ball is CBC’s secondary play-by-play commentator of the future.

CBC’s rinkside reporters will largely stay the same. Andi Petrillo, Elliotte Friedman, Scott Oake, David Amber and Cassie Campbell all return.

More on this later in the week…

Hondaracer 01-15-2013 09:17 AM

Balls not that great IMO but probably better than lee
