I have a feeling Kassian will be a much better player this season. He'll have had a full offseason training regimen, Canucks style. He'll have training camp , pre-season games etc. to learn team tendencies... lets hope I'm right!
Same. If he plays a full season for us, I predict a 15g 15a ceiling this year.
as far as our free agent forwards and defense, can we safely assume guys like pahllson isnt coming back because he's considering retirement, weise may not be back, rome, and salo may be retiring.
salo retiring is a question i wonder every year at this point, after all the surgeries and injuries, he isnt even human anymore.

Hopefully we can get someone to play with kesler, booth was a try and that didn't work, if only we could afford parise....
why cant we?
if marty retires.....would NJ consider taking Luongo off our hands for the rights of Parise + another player....???
And with Roberto's cap space out of the picture, i'm sure we can fit parise in.....and maybe parise would take a discount to play with this Olympic linemate....Booth, Kesler, Parise...what would be a sick line...would rival the twins for our "1st line".

When you fuckers lose your virginity, you will learn to appreciate the beauty of natural women. For now, stick to your magazines and porns where all the bitches are shaved to keep the crabs under control ;)
I think Ballard played his best D down the stretch. People need to stop focusing on his salary. The Canucks didnt write that contract and if he lasts, the next one won't be as much of a cap hit.

Draft day is next Friday.. it will be interesting to see who the Canucks pick. Any thoughts on who they will pick with their current pick (assuming they don't trade up, trade it away, etc)?
Big gritty forward who isn't afraid to get into the dirty areas.

Samuelsson has come to the Oil Kings and has fit in very nicely thus far. Samuelsson’s big frame compliments the smaller stature skilled forwards the Oil Kings have and adds an element to their lineup they were sorely missing. Offensively, he doesn’t have the flair that many of the offensive forwards in this draft have, but his value as a big body in front of the net and someone will who go to the dirty areas is of tremendous value. He’s already been suspended twice so far in his short WHL career, but the grit and size he brings to the lineup makes him a very interesting player for NHL teams. With a strong showing in the playoffs, expect Samuelsson to continue to ascend up the draft rankings.
