The thing is they don't really have room for a top 6 forward. Once Booth and Kes are back, there isn't a ton of cap room, even with Lou gone..

Our lineup when healthy looks really good. If were gonna trade Lu or Schnieds it has to be a package deal of some sort on our side. For a bonafide top liner. Cause we already have a shitload of top 9 forwards on our team. If we trade an all-star goalie for a plug and prospect +pick, id consider it a fail.

Im still hoping to pry Bobby Ryan out of Anahiem in a 3 way trade of some sort.

I dunno but Ovi is playing shitting and needs a change just like with Lu... say what you want about Ovi but when hes on his game he is that good and hes physical as well which the Canucks have been lacking.

ive made the argument in the past that having 8 million tied up in Corey/Lu, even with 1 always on the bench, gets you more points in a season than an Ovi at 8.5 playing 25 minutes

We're gonna have to give up Lu +++ prospects for Ovy.. stop dreaming

the things is our time is right now. With all the talent that Edmonton has if we don't do something now we might miss our time and if that happens the last 5 years would of meant nothing. Do what we can to with now and not in the next year or two because Edmonton will be knocking at the door sooner then people think

imo if we go up against a SJ/LA we wont make it past them as this point unless MULTIPLE players and whoever is in net is going full-beast mode

teams know now you just play Sedins physical all day long as hard as you can and you accept what the Canucks secondary scoring gives you

Before the Cup run I was on here [and another forum moreso] praising the Canucks and the movement they were making towards a cup, i ended up winning $200 from a few guys on the other forum after 2-3 years of telling them the Nucks were on their way to a final and what i had seen to make me think it was going to happen in 2010

now i dont have nearly as much faith, infact i probably have the least in the last bit here, and IMO if there is any chance to get back it will be in this shortened season
