Taking that single quote is kind of out of context though...
After watching the entire clip, his tone wasn't so much of, "I let him go by not hitting him in the head",
but it was more of a, "I had no intention of dishing out a hard hit, just wanted to get the puck"
But definitely poor choice of words, especially when talking to the media.

gillis just explained jensens situation, talk about a shitty situation. aik wanted to trade him, canucks declined as they want him in chicago asap. aik managment and coach healthy scratched and basically bench him from then on
Not sure if anyone has brought this up if so just ignore it and ill delete this post, but where do you think Ruff will go? if anywhere? I am sure he will coach in the NHL again maybe he will take over a underachieving team?
a few examples
Washington
Islanders
Colorado?
maybe Calgary? they expect to make the playoffs (I know there is a few injuries there as for Colorado too) but they are not doing well under Bob Hartley

Yeah, I heard about that as well. Sucks that he was managed so poorly after a good start to the year in the SEL. I recall hearing a rumor about him having an attitude problem, but to me it sounded more like he was just mad the team was losing.
