Regardless of his feelings towards AV, I would hope that Luongo's pride and work ethic would prevent him from losing on purpose...

Luongo is such a team first kind of guy, I would have serious reservations about him throwing a game for selfish reasons.

AV's justification for putting Schroeder on the PP playing point was to help JS' confidence, and they needed a RH shot anyways. I get the RH shot, but throw him into a struggling PP playing out of position and expect his confidence to get better? Drop him down to the 4th line playing limited minutes with plugs who have hands of stone and no offensive creativity/upside going to help his confidence? These 'opportunities' AV likes to give young players make you scratch your head, and you wonder why they do not succeed to their potential.

I'm not saying Schroeder is the savior to our slump, but I would have liked to see better utilization before declaring that he needs to get his game together in the AHL

I think Luigi will play fine tonight as hes been the whole season thus far... Much more worried about the offense and the D leaving him out to dry tho.

team first guy? team first guys don't go out of their way in interviews to mention it would be best if he left. he created a problem that affects the whole team. there was no reason to say it would be best if he left, it created more media attention and probably pissed off his team mates. as a teammate you dont want to deal with that crap on top of all the other stuff that usually happens during a season
