The team's play right now is not a whole lot different than last season post-Boston game. The main difference was the goalies were on their game and stealing wins left and right last year, and this year they are not.
I was a strong believer in the team moderating their effort and energy to prepare for a long playoff run, not using their PP setups/plays until when it actually counted. Clearly I was wrong
Anybody with the lowdown on why Booth's stall got cleared? I've just read that he's out indefinitely with left ankle injury
I'm fairly certain it was to make space for Schroeder to come up (I'm assuming they only have enough stalls for the number of players on the roster). Seems they believe that Booth will be out for quite some time if they completely cleared it out. Might be planning on putting him on LTIR to allow some wiggle room at the deadline? MG always seems to have an injury or two at the perfect time, though usually it's been Salo hah.
noticed this on hfboards, hopefully canucks figure out what they are this year first before dumping picks etc.
On TSN, McKenzie talked about Iginla
-Rumors that Iginla has given Calgary a list of 3 teams (PIT, DET, VAN), another says it's a 5 Team List (Including BOS, LAK). McKenzie says he cannot confirm that a list has been presented.
-Says that the process for trading Iginla has begun.
-Said that, brace yourselves HF, he likens the situation to Rick Nash in that Iginla is driving the trade. If Iginla doesn't want to go/is overly restrictive of where he's willing to go, it could not happen.
Can't find anyone to go yet, I didn't think it would be so hard to find someone to go to the game
Haha who would've thought... the Canucks were the hottest ticket in town.

It's pretty pathetic when fans are only fans when they are winning....
For me, it's not even about them losing. It's how boring the games are. I was at last nights game and it wasn't exciting at all. The Canucks didnt generate much offence, I didnt remember seeing any big hits and there were no fights. Had we lost say 7-5, I would've been more satisfied. Maybe that's just me. Hell, the highlight of the night was seeing Bieksa almost scoring into his own net. Posted via RS Mobile

agreed
as overall this is entertainment value
watching a shitty team that doesnt either
a) light it up
b) fight
c) finish checks
d) have some sort of Sean Avery esque antics
e) etc whatever you deem as pleasurable
is like wining and dining a dumbell-dull woman who will not even put out at the end of the night
(i can hear agrguments already: YOU ARE NOT A TRUE CANUCKS FAN)
a true Canucks fan? you mean passing loyalty to a FRANCHISE that is planted in a geographical proximity close to where you live? And they want your money and time. And out of blind love, faith, loyalty, We are to put out even if we are not happy with the product?
well for those who embrace that argument, i have some magical beans to sell you which will let you get rich and retire in 10 months.

Lol. Now that the canucks hare having rough times, people are trying to convince everyone they arent even real canuck fans and only follow the team when its good entertainment. 2 years ago the same people would swear up and down they arent bandwagoners and are always with the team.
The only thing worse than the canucks play this year, is the fans.
Since the NHL has come back from the lockout, I find Canucks games tough to watch. They just don't have the entertainment value as in the past. I will watch however, but its on in the background while I do other shit.
Not a fan of the following teams, but they play entertaining hockey: Habs, Penns, Hawks, Hurricanes, Kings (lately lighting it up).

I'm gonna stay optimistic
with 20 games left things can still turn around.
- still time for the team to find the PP groove
- still time for a goalie to run with the ball
- still time for the team to come together and address their problems
