For all we know, Luongo's list of teams is really small, limiting Gillis on a potential trade. If those teams know they are destinations Luongo wants to go to (Florida, Tampa), then they aren't going to offer a lot to Gillis.
Damien Cox is the biggest sack of shit reporter. I don't believe anything he says. If everything you say is bullshit, you'll eventually get one right.
As for Kadri, he's sheltered on that third line which is great for his development, but he seems to have the tools to be a top 6 player.

It wasn't Kadri's performance that forced him to juniors and the ahl. He had to suffer through rotten ronnie, one of the worst coaches for prospect development. He had the skill, but did not have the minutes, thus confined to 3/4th line duty playing with the likes of connolly and darryl boyce. He was also moved to the left wing and that decreased his production since he's a more proven scorer at center. Rotten Ronnie is actually worse than AV (although AV has been giving shroeder 15 minutes lately, which is Kadri's average for the first 20 games).
I will admit that there was uncertainty trading a proven veteran for prospects, but the Canucks wanted players that could help them out now. The deal was not made because the canucks need more guarantee to remain as a fixture in the playoff picture. Kadri was at least 2 years away from being an NHL staple. His defensive game and faceoff percentage was suspect, but that's a problem that a lot of prospects face. Quote:

Kadri has been sheltered, but lately has been opposing 2nd lines. He was used at times against the Stamkos Line and Stamkos was limited to 1 SOG. Yesterday, he got 18:00 TOI, which is pretty significant. He throws hits, and has the highest corsi rating on the leafs and even draws more penalties than he takes.

Yah geez you could see he knew he was gonna go last night in the post game presser he basically threw Garon under the bus... possibly deservedly so... but to blame a 5-3 loss on 1 one-timer slapshot through the 5-hole... that's a desperate coach there.

I think Stevie Y is realizing its a lot harder to manage a real NHL team vs. assembling a crew of all-stars with nothing to lose to play for an Olympic team

Yzerman better be looking for a goalie. Lindback hasnt panned out, and now hes out with injury, its either throw in the towel for the season or try and pick up Luongo. Theres alot of guys on that Lightning roster id love to have. There saying St.Louis maybe available and id love to have that guy.
It seems like Schroeder is doing well playing with Raymond and Hansen which makes an awesome 3rd line. When Kesler comes back, i think he needs a better winger to play with. St.Louis, Jagr would be awesome.

Lindback was solid in Nashville because he played behind a solid team defense first system. In Tampa, he's struggled. And he's still young. So no surprises there.
When Kesler comes back, I would like to see him used as a 'third line' checking center playing against other teams top lines. You'd play him with Higgins, not sure who goes on the other wing. I'm not convinced you break up the speed line to accommodate Kesler

Tampa seems like a logical trading partner with us because they can score but their goaltending is shoddy. If there was a deal centering around Luongo going there and St.Louis or Purcell coming back, I would be ecstatic.
It seems soo logical to me, with Luongo wanting to be back in Florida and all...

Source say the Pens and Stars have a trade in place for Brendan Morrow. However, he has yet to waive no trade clause.
| Guess that would mean no Iginla to the Pens. Joe Morrow going to Dallas (most likely) if this deal happens.

How the fuck do the Pens still have cap room? Honestly, considering Joe Morrow is one of the Pen's top prospects, it'd be like us trading Gaunce for a 33 year old injury prone rental.
No thanks.

I guess they feel this could push them forward for a cup run. Despite losing Morrow, they would still have a deep defensive pool.

Beau Bennet+ can still fetch Iginla. It's difficult to see CHI BOS LA targeting Iginla since they all have legit Right Wingers. http://www2.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/l...burgh-penguins

morrow for morrow.....both portland winterhawks. Pittsburgh would have such a gritty top 9 and remember, Pens had an exposed defense last season.
